Basically, how many years would you give a National Championship coach to get his act together before you would fire him?

Get his act together how? I mean is he winning consistently although he hasnt won a title in years (Bob Stoops) or is the program falling apart just two years after winning a title (Chiz)? It just depends. I think OU is doing the right thing keeping Stoops and I thought au made the right move getting rid of Chiz

Let's examine national championship coaches who were soon fired:

Larry Coker - 2001 National Champion, fired after the 2006 season (6-6)

Gene Chizik - 2010 National Champion, fired after the 2012 season (3-9)

Tubby Smith managed to stick around until 2007 after winning the 1998 natty. However it wad the 2006 and 2007 seasons that really had us up in arms. #1 class in 2004, #1 seed in 2003.

So basically, two years is about all we'll tolerate of mediocre basketball. Billy Clyde can attest.

Of course you were.
Have Arkansas fans always harbored these feelings or was it just after Auburn hired your one year offensive coordinator (2 years removed).
Pathetic.

It's always been that way for me. Didn't have anything to do with hiring the coach that couldn't get an interview from his home state school.

For me, it has much more to do with Auburn acting as if they are a reese's pieces blizzard when they are actually a licorice flavored slush puppy
