How long would any current coaches last if they fell to mediocrity?

If any current SEC coach went 7-5 every year from this point forward, how many years would it take each before they were fired? Who are the most demanding of their coaches?

Auburn has shown we will fire a coach 2 years after a NC, although 2012 was insanely bad.

Bama expects success but I think Saban has a pretty long leash (plus can you easily fire a guy with a statue outside?)

Miles already has doubters so I wouldn't think he would last long.

What would be your best guesses? How would your coach fare?

There are three threads on this topic on the first page of the LSU Board... after one 8-4 season.

Miles will never be fired. For one, his buyout is too large. If the next two seasons were really bad he might retire though.

8 wins and his seat gets warm

7 and it's hot

Back to back 7's and he'd be gone

Did you even read the OP?

I think Pinkel would get 2 years of 7-5/6-6 type of football. There was talk of firing him after the 5-7 2012 season.

Pinkel wont get 4 years. He wont be fired either but he would resign under pressure

I gave him the benefit of the doubt based on his consecutive East championships.

Pretty sure if Gus leaves it will be because he chose to. They pay more coaches not to coach there than they have on staff. Im sure thats getting expensive.

I'm certain McElwain would be fired if he was wrapping up a third straight year of 7-5 or worse. Don't think he would be around for the FSU game at that.

I caught your Alzheimer's. I missed the "from this point forward". Weird way to frame the question but it's his thread.

How would you have phrased it? "Henceforth 7-5 is all Mullen could muster in vanquishes of his foes!"

7-5 last year counts. Why not just ask how many years of 7-5 would get your coach canned?

Was trying to get discussion by not limiting to your coach only. Grammar is harder though.
