It's obvious Auburn beating Bama 28-27 at Bama after leading 24-0 has created new levels of anxiety for Tide Fans. And then losing their NC to Auburn I guess has been too much for Bama Fans to stomach.

I'm just wondering how long this will last with the hate threads between the two schools popping up every day on TD? I can't remember the hate between the two schools being at this level before. Has it ever? I don't see how these fans can continue to live in the same state. Is there any talk of Alabama State Government funded Wall being built to separate the 2 fan bases? Seems a bid severe these days.

Or maybe this is just temporary since we are so close to NSD.

It will only stop when both schools unite to form the Crimson Tigers which will never happen so the answer is never.

After Au is forced to give back the trophies...it should end. Most Au posters will run and hide and the Tide faithful will rise up and take over the Rant.

i feel like the scene from Monty Python where they can't HEAR the words Ni or "ekki ekki ekki booWOMMBa ekki."

what you just said... i can neither see nor hear or comprehend. actually i'm just rejecting the thought violently in my head.

that would be ONE way to keep me from being an Alabama fan, is if i was FORCED to root for my team WITH people who were previously auburn fans. it would ruin the whole thing.

And then losing their NC to Auburn

Last I thought, Bama was still the 2009 National Champion. I guess LSU lost its 2003 and 2007 titles to Auburn as well. If anyone should be worried about "losing" a title, it isn't Alabama.

i will admit that it has been too much for me to stomach. Leaving Bryant-Denny, i was more distraught at the fact that we couldnt block auburn's path the Glendale than it being the IB. The National Title is the Holy Grail of College football and that was something i never wanted Auburn fans to feel. Now they have and it has me flustered.

Honestly once the ball went through the upright in Glendale it was all over, but the shout'n for Auburn. Their team will pay for this past season next year with a difficult road schedule with inexperience players.

Then they will have to regroup and it will be game on in 2012. But most likely there will be some turnover on their staff next year.

Two things have changed for Auburn one on the field other teams will have their name circled on the schedule. Secondly on the recruiting trail things have gotten much more difficult for Auburn and will only get tougher. They though they were going to finish with a bang and that is quickly turning into a whimper. Next year from day one opposing coaching staffs will be aware of their constant negative recruiting.

The war is getting more intense. Alabama had a lot of suffering since Bear (except during the Stallings early years through 1992), with coaches, scandals, probations (4 in 14), losing 6 in a row, etc... They laughed when 5-19 was hired. They thought Auburn had thrown in the towel. Many Bama fans feel that Auburn has taken something from them.

Plus unlike MOST states, there are two very good programs (top 15 in the nation)residing in the same state. Alabama is a top 5 program, but they have to share the states love with Auburn. In Louisiana (as and example) EVERYONE is a Tiger Fan. The only arguement is between the Cowboys in the north and the Saints in the south.
