Saban leaves. football is more competitive now then it was decades ago when bama was racking up titles.
Yet Saban has managed to create a dynasty that's never happened during any rant poster's lifetime. That makes it even more impressive.

Tillman is a natural born idiot. Parents related, learnt banjo at 3, wears motorcycle helmet when out in public, etc.

Don't go knocking the banjo. Just don't go to a picking circle where there's more instruments than teeth.

I think Saban puts another ten years in just to make sure he's tGOAT and Urban doesn't surpass him. I hope he retires next year but he looks healthy and he seems to love what he does. Why couldn't he keep going like Bowden.

Dabo will retire at Bama

I feel sorry for whoever has to replace Lord Saban. Talk about an impossible job.

You can have all the talent in the world, but what does it matter if you don't have the right coach.
I doubt the next person has the same success as Saban. He developed his process over a lifetime and it's not something that can be easily duplicated.
The great coaches (Meyer, Harbaugh) aren't leaving their schools.
Anyway, Saban will be around another 3-5 years which will give the next great crop of coaches time to develop and prove their ability on the national stage.

Dabo won't leave for 2 reasons. 1 is the new football complex they are building that he pretty much got to design. The second is job security. He could get away with a few 8-9 win seasons at Clemson but at Alabama they would be calling for his head. He is a very loyal guy especially when it comes to recruiting and he has already passed up the opportunity to coach at Alabama once. Plus we believed in him when the rest of the country was calling him a cheerleader. I don't think he leaves unless they decide to give him Sabans contract which I don't think they will. Very different personalities, Dabo likes to joke and enjoys the moment, Saban has no time for jokes. I think Saban will want to groom his successor.

unoriginal people with no wit always go with this generic insult Deliverance reference .
you root for Alabama but trying to stereotype me as a hick. lol are you familiar with the stereotypes of Alabama. it seems like you wouldn't want to do that to other people.
i note that you did not refute anything I posted. Bama didn't do much between 1992 and Saban showing up. thus, it has more to do with the coach than Alabama in general.

i think Saban's only impressive win a title game was Clemson last year. i don't think Alabama should have even made the title game because they lost their division to the other team that made the title game, LSU. They had a shot at LSU already, and lost at home to LSU. Another team should have had a shot at it. SEC and Saban bias got him into the title game.
last year, Bama got MSU in first round, when Clemson should have. Bama was treated like the 1 seed. everybody thought Oklahoma was the best team going into the playoffs, and Clemson had to play them.

What? That wasn't impressive at all. He had to cheat (onside kick) to win.
LOL

i never said it was cheating. you have to know this by now because I've responded several times. you are trying to miss my point b/c you are a hack and Bama brown-noser. how does any Arky fan talk trash about Clemson.

they didn't come from the Uni of Alabama, other than Dabo who was a player and a graduate assistant coach.
colleges in Alabama can't take credit for what a coach does at other colleges.

Condensed version: Bama is only good when they are good and they always suck and Clemson rocks dude.
Plus, no players will ever wish to go to Tuscaloosa without Saban there.
I'm 13 years old and I am not an idiot and I follow football very closely and have experienced a lot of football in my life. Football began mostly around the time I was born so I know a lot about good football.
Before I was born, everything was easy and the only teams that won games were teams like with good coaches and they could recruit. BEar and Stallings and Saban and Wade and Thomas were the only reasons players ever came to Bama.
Does Alabama get an All-Star player who was also a mega-superstar Western star for decades? Hell no they don't if not for a good coach.
I'm sick of teams having good coaches and then getting good players and being in a state like Alabama.
It isn't fair and Alabama should not be allowed to have that kind of success. STates like South Carolina deserve it because they aren't Southern and consider Southerners to be hicks and tras
that's not a condensed version of what i said. that is your hack version.
my point is it is about the coach, not the school itself. it helps that Bama pays a high salary, but if Wake Forest could pay more, do you think coaches with no ties to Alabama would prefer Alabama to Wake? i don't think so.
every school and ups and downs in the various sports.
if you look at the 80s and 90s and 00's up to 2008, Alabama wasn't that great outside of a few seasons. plus there was a lot of vacated wins, bowl probations, etc.

now you are trying to spin it. lol
all i said is Alabama only won because they were much better on special teams. that's the truth but Bama brown-nosers wig out when i say it. i only think it is dumb that a kicking team can catch a ball that they kicked even without it being touched by player on offense.
possession is a big deal in football, it is hard to win with turnovers and i think the whole point of onside kick is there is a good chance of getting lucky and recovering the ball. it seems cheap to me. that doesn't mean it is cheating if teams try to do it. it is obviousy within the rules. my argument is with the rule.
