I thinks it's obvious that other than a few notable exceptions, spring games have become dull and unnecessary. Maybe it's always been this way and I've just gotten older. I used to enjoy going to them as a kid. They were always on or right around my birthday. shite it's on my birthday this year. Do I have any plans to attend? No.

I just don't see what I'm supposed to get out of it.

Spring games are mostly for the players to just have an fun day after spring practice I don't see why they would get rid of them

It's aimed towards the poors who can't buy tickets to real games... At least at Alabama.

I like them just as a bit of a football holdover. In just about every other sport there's some type of televised preseason event, so I don't see how they're a problem or anything.

It's fun for kids and stuff i'm sure, getting to meet players and coaches and things like that when they do that, but when I was at LSU I never went to one, so many better things to do

Along this line of thinking, SECN will probably have a big say as well, as long as people are tuning in, they'll keep going

It's a waste of time, they would be better off with a closed scrimmage.
The last one I went to at LSU, QB Marcus Randall had a knee injury in a meaningless game.

I wish they would let schools have a scrimmage with another team but then everyone would have to do the same spring schedules.

spring games are dumb. I go in them hoping we come out with no injuries...that's my only expectations of the game. Also, they always seem to produce someone with stupid hype going into the fall that always fails to live up to expectations.

Does the name "Shermanator" ring a bell CNB?

This. From a fan standpoint, I really can't understand why anyone would complain about them.

I'm so glad I don't only follow football. I'm always on campus.

I'd like to see a situation where schools partner with nearby non-rivals to host a home-and-home scrimmage every spring. I think there was an idea floated at one time that USC and GT could work something out where a scrimmage with all the contact restrictions of the spring game could be held in ATL in even years, and Cola in odd years. I think that would create some more excitement for them.
