South Carolina is a cool school and a great program to play every year, but they will never be true rivals. I can only think of one SEC school that I might say I hate, and that school will also never be a true rival, because they're too fricking backwards.

Probably never.
But I did enjoy my trip out there this past season. Especially over a long weekend. A win, Charleston after the game for the weekend. It was nice. Too bad it was all false hope as it turned out both teams sucked.

let's be honest here. the ONLY reason that the aggies and cocks are paired up is so "we" can preserve the bama/ut and the auburn/uga games.
there is no other relevant reason and the schools are so far away and have such little history that it will never be a rival game. it's just a permanent opponent in the present day SEC format; nothing more or nothing less. it's like the last guy picked on a pickup team.."ok, whose left. you guys are have to play each other every year so we can balance this thing out"

They were my favorite SEC East team long before we joined the SEC, and Aggiebelle was born in that state and I have fambly there now
I was excited for the annual matchup mainly because it'll give me a excuse to go there every other year if I can swing it.
Rivalry will probably heat up in the coming years, but I'll always have a soft spot in my heart for SC.
