When Texas secedes from this ever-growing dumpster fire of a nation, does LS, AL, MS, FL, GA, AR, etc. come with, or do we see a mass migration to Texas?

A&M could go undefeated for the next 5 years winning every NC and some SEC folks would not consider them equals.

If you do this, then you will finally have a winning bowl record.

Well I can't speak for the rest of the states but 2/3s of Louisiana and the only part anyone likes will likely already be swallowed by the Gulf by then

Moo State gave us a good reason to not do that recently.

We're still trying to get rid of the Louisiana trash refugees from the Hurricane...

*disclaimer this is not a jab at the hurricane or its terrible effects on the city of New Orleans or the State of Louisiana*

Maybe 20 years. Finishing better than 3rd in the West would probably help also.

as much as i hate you guys.

- UT is dying, i enjoy that almost as much as you do.
- A&M is on the rise and a sleeping giant at that.
- It's a great university to add to the SEC, at least compared to fricking Missouri.
- passionate fanbase, even tho a bit weird.

so i think you're fitting in just fine for now. we'll see how it goes once JFF is out the door tho.

Never thought of them as less than equal. Was thrilled when A&M joined the conference.

Now, if you mean equal in accomplishment, they've got to get in line behind at least six other programs. They're maybe half a step ahead of Carolina. But if you mean equal in terms of quality of university, program, and contribution to the conference, never been an issue for me.

Threads like this definitely don't help. Anyone insecure enough to worry about this had to have known it would take time. The great thing is once A&M wins the West and a conference crown or even better plays for the whole enchilada, they will also be an elite program nationally. 2 birds, 1 stone.

Obviously A&M is still the new kid on the block. We still see posts like "You would would be undefeated and in the National Title game in the B12 this year."

I would not say it's because A&M isn't "SEC Equals". On the contrary - pretty much because of it.

In Big 12, you'd be head and shoulders better than every team in the league. In the SEC, there's so much talent, so many good and great teams. Notre Dame, Oregon, WVA - in the last two years, the SEC's best has beaten the rest of the nation's "best", sometimes brutally. I would say it is more of a "holy crap - you guys have passed the Big 12 like a cripple trying to follow a Ferrari".

It's not an insult at all to A&M, but simply how quickly they've left the Big 12 in their dust.

You're only 1 1/2 years removed from the conference. Give it time.

That Texas arrogance is not limited to this board and isn't trolling, unless the whole state is one giant troll. Most Southerners dislike Texans for the distinct lack of humility and perspective...it's really just a notch below California in that regard.

Have you been to Texas A&M?

So many say they would have prefered it, but yall would die if Texas would have joined instead. Our arrogance but on roids with a sense of entitlement on top. They would be telling Bama how to act.

No sensible person, especially after seeing Texas' attitude during the first search for potential expansion teams, would want Texas in the SEC.

While we are all rivals, the simple fact of the matter is, at the top, the schools work together. It works out best if we send a school to the title game, and another to a BCS bowl. Money drives the world 'round.

We wanted a new TV market; A&M gave us that. Texas does nothing to expand on that, we already have that foothold in the state. Next would be the markets of VA and NC, if we REALLY wanted to expand again, but I doubt it happens anytime soon.

Going back to Texas - Alabama got enough of that fan base with their "We win by 50 if Colt doesn't get hurt" BS. Guy was in for 5 plays, had two passes for 5 and 4 yards, and a 0 yard rush. Trust me, we get enough of that "what if" crap already here on the SECr. We don't need fanbases that literally suck on its teat.

How about have a decent year more than once every 15 years before you poke out your chest like you just went 14-0
