Lighten up, Francis.
SOME of the LSU fans were upset at this situation, not all.
It's funny that 50-100 troll posters on a message board and maybe several thousand on campus or at the game somehow magically represent a 1,000,000+ alumni and fan base.
The overwhelming majority did not care about Florida's coaches or players or fans.

They were upset at the SITUATION that Sankey allowed to happened.

How would Tennessee have felt if Slive and Bertman CANCELLED the LSU-Tennessee game after Katrina AND Rita hit?

We had the same OR WORSE infrastructure problems that Gainesville had, yet we rescheduled the game for the following """ M O N D A Y.....N I G H T"""
and 93,000 showed up. Tennessee flew in that morning an flew out right afterward.

But no, Sankey and Foley couldn't do that.

Again, the UF players and coaches and fans got heat from SOME LSU fans (of the 1 million" fan base)
""""""""""" B E C A U S E """""""""" of the actions of Sankey and Foley,

"""""""" N O T """"""" your players or coaches !!!

Do you fricking get it now ????????????

It will be fine when LSU fans get over it.

They brought this on themselves.

Plain and simple.

How long it lasts is up to LSU fans, I personally enjoy the UF / LSU rivalry and have a great time whether in Gainesville or Baton Rouge.

Honestly, none of my UF or LSU friends mention the game IRL. It's only dumb blustering on a message board.

This will blow over. All the hot air will settle down. This flood of emotion from LSU fans will cede eventually.

Ahh yes. That's right. Florida did not bring this on themselves AT ALLLLLL.
This was a FLORIDA HOME GAME, for Chrissakes.

I guess Foley (and Sankey) did not 'bring this on themselves' either ?????????

Un fricking believable....

The problem is that it shows up in every fricking thread about any topic that includes Florida and LSU. Both fan bases (certain fans, we all know who they are) are guilty for bringing it up in every thread.

Yes. The OP asked how much will the jokes about weather and animosity will last.

LSU fans started that.

TigerRant had itself convinced 100% that it was LSUs right to host a home game, sometimes even mentioning past hurricanes as reason to justify getting an additional home game.

Not to mention your local media supporting those feelings.

LSU deserved every bit of shite it got after UF won that game.

Both fanbases a tad but overall mostly LSU because they couldn't fathom us beating them last year.

Why in the everloving F do Florida fans think Alleva PLOTTED to move the Florida game to Baton Rouge ??????????????????

Alleva did NOT want the game moved! He tried every appeal in the books to play the game in Gainesville (as he had been PROMISED by Foley and Stankey all week).
He even mentioned moving it to another venue near Gainesville, or playing on Sunday or Monday, or playing with a smaller crowd and/or services.

All Alleva and LSU wanted was to reschedule the game for a day or two later (which could have been done.)

Tennessee flew in the Monday after Rita hit (and 2 weeks after the still-recovery from Katrina), and flew out right after. Baton Rouge and surrounding areas had the SAME OR WORSE infrastructure, emergency vehicle, traffic signal, traffic, roads, shelters, etc, problems as Gainesville, but 93,000 showed up on Monday night for the Tennessee game.

Why couldn't Stankey have made that happen ??????????????????????????????????????????

How were LSU fans (SOME LSU fans) """""supposed"""""
to feel ?????????????????

This still has you really upset.

You've had plenty of time to weather the storm and get over it.

It will never end! That is the beauty of the SEC and rivalries. The heat comes and goes from each "rivalry" but at some point almost every series/ matchup is hotly contested on the field or debated off the field or both.

"Weather" it is due to actual parity on the field or off the field/ fan/ admin issues.....these "events" are never forgotten and will always be part of the fabric of the SEC.

That is why tRant goes on and on and on.....someone will always remember and someone will always bring it up, as a positive or negative, depending upon the topic!!!

Remember when.....(add your story here)
