I have said this over and over. Add Virginia and North Carolina, move Missouri to the West and quit.

This I like, but otherwise leave things the way they are. I want LSU to play Auburn, Bama, Ole Miss, and A&M every year, no exceptions.(prefer to limit it to once though)

Missouri to the West and their cross rival is Kentucky while Auburn heads east.

Arkansas - Tennessee
Alabama - Auburn

It all makes way too much sense to actually happen.

You have a better chance at winning the Powerball, than getting that to pass through Birmingham.

If Missouri is gonna get Kentucky then who is MSU gonna get?

2 divisions isn't gonna work with 7 teams unless you get ride of permanent cross division opponents fwiw

The new guys don't get a say in this. Auburn/Georgia, Alabama/Tennessee and Alabama/Auburn will never go away so figure a way to make that happen or deal with it. We don't run from our rivals like USCjr, Texas A&M or Mizzou

USC has played Clemson for over 100 consecutive years with the only discontinuation happening in the early 1900s because Clemson cadets marched from the statehouse to the Horseshoe with their bayonets drawn and USC students defended it with guns

Meanwhile Bama was too scared to go play in Auburn so the Iron Bowl was discontinued for what? 20, 30 years?

GFY. The rest of the conference isn't gonna suffer just so you can play every year UT.

If you go 9 game and rotate 3 cross division games the longest you go without playing a team is 3 years. But thats just too logical for most fans of Auburn, UGA, UT and Bama

Instead of North and South, why don't we call it Hillbillies and Crackers. Sort of like Leaders and Legends in the B1G.

Missouri better hope it isn't anytime soon. They came in at a rare time when no one in the east can get their shite together. They'd be hard-pressed to make a bowl game a lot of years in the west. I'd glady trade A&M for the chance to kick the shite out of the tigers in their high school stadium on a yearly basis.

ECU and Virginia Tech

ECU would be a free space on the schedule every year and VT is headed squarely downhill with Beamer on his way out. If they don't get their next hire right, that's about to become a dumpster fire.

Culturally both are a better fit than UVA, UNC or Duke.

ECU has a huge undergrad and they love their football. I'm always impressed how many fans they bring to Cola when they visit and the football program is pretty good. They've beat UNC 2 years in a row and NC State last year.

Virginia Tech is crazy about their football and still managed to beat Ohio State on the road this year. I know they have fallen from the heights of the Beamer era but thats temporary imo.

VT-UT would be a natural rivalry as would USC-ECU.

I'd rather not add teams from NC and VA because it would put a damper on the recruits USC has been getting out of those states (mainly NC), but if we add teams from those states ECU and VT would be my choices.

frick UNC. They're worse cheaters than Bama

Auburn needs too scoot their asses to the east. And Bama and Tenn just need to let it go. remember Arkansas, Auburn, Mizzouri, and Texas A&M all had to let some things go at some point by switching confrences or confrenece divisions. The Tenn and alabama game is never really even good anymore anyways. Because Tenn sucks.

Why don't we just change it to a North and South?

Same reason the PAC-12 would make no sense with east and west divisions. Average distance traveled for division games would be much higher. Just based on the southeast being much wider than it is tall, you pretty much have to stick with eastish & westish.

Someone please correct me if I'm wrong, I'd do the math myself but it would require a lot of data points and I'm not at a CPU

My guess is until more expansion. Swapping Mizzou and Auburn makes to much sense. SEC should be playing 9 conference games anyway.

Might be a while then. I don't think the SEC needs any more teams honestly.

MIZZOU wins out and takes the SECCG you'll see a shuffling of the teams sooner rather than later. TAM, MIZZOU, LSU, UK, TN, ARKY, pick two others to throw inn the mix and there's your realigned West Div, you can still keep the annual rivalry games, the other solution is to just start a rotating schedule so all teams play each other within a two yr period and there will no divisions, best two play a championship. game.

Just move Mizzou west and play 9 conference games. No one wants to see last week's late November FCS showdown again.

Nailed it. Who goes East?

No need for concern. There is no danger of that scenario playing out.

If that happens, we had better be in the Confederate division.
