I think the idea that LSU won't can a coach for "getting 9-10 wins" is preposterous considering they just did. I also think the idea that Ed O will consistently "get 9-10 wins" is equally preposterous.

You sure do spend a lot of time worrying about LSU when you have a real dumpster fire in fayetteville you probably should be worrying about.

Until the year after Aranda leaves.

However between now and then there's a realistic chance at a playoff berth with Aranda and Canada. LSU's offense will be much improved this year - our success will depend on whether or not anyone can fill the shoes of Beckwith and White, two guys who stayed for their senior years. It still makes me sick that the offense let them down so badly vs. Bama and UF.

This has the feelin of one of those hires that will never be big enough. LSU wanted a name coach and didn't get it. To some orgeron will never be good enough and always will cause a fracture

As long as he recruits well and continues to pull in top 5 and top 10 recruiting classes and retains his coaching staff LSU will win games

Coach O motivates the players and there is a new level of play or he has coached the players up. He has proved at USC and LSU with talent he can win games.

Will he bring LSU to the level of Alabama well i am not so sure about this but i do believe the LSU team will play at a higher level than LSU has the last 5 years.

Time will tell

If he recruits well like most expect and hires well, he will be here till retiring. I didn't like the hire either.

3 years and the reason he will last that long is because he is a Louisiana boy.

You guys lol...

You should be very afraid tbh. Orgeron could very well be an upgrade to what Miles was. First, Coach O is a work-a-holic, man doesn't even sleep it is rumored. He does not bring either the OC or the DC side of the equation to LSU football, but neither did Les Miles. He is a top shelf recruiter probably better than Miles was. The difference is he will allow his coordinators to do their jobs, unlike Miles. His success and longevity will be dependent on his ability to keep good to decent OC/DCs. But so it was for Miles. And Miles had an extremely good run.

One other thing Coach O does that I really like is that he has no problem putting a team away when given the opportunity unlike Miles who went into "safe mode" driving all the fans insane.

Bama will still be Bama as long as Saban is there. But the rest of you guys better look out =)

Miles went 8-5 in 2014 and was on track to do the same or worse this season.
