I think it's a great hire with what's available. Obviously you want the big name coach but where the frick is that coach? oh yeah....at a better job or doesn't want to directly jump into a dumpster fire.

8-4 or better next season and in the mix for the east. Will wear the east out and compete for SEC title and maybe CFB championship in 16. Gata got dem a good coach.

They have some damned good recruits leaning toward them. If McElwain can hold onto them, UF might manage one of the best classes in the nation by NSD.

You sound like a fricking Clempson fan... And you dumbfrick Gaytor fans do realize I was referring CMR as "Hellen"... Thus complementing your hire...
I knew that immediately and really a few dawgs have posted positive stuff....but the AU & Bama fans are the ones letting us know what a good hire it is. Don't paint all of us Gator fans with the same paint brush.

Urban Meyer
Nick Saban
Gus Malzahn
Les Miles.........
all 4 of these recent SEC hires got their teams into the National Championship game within the first 3 seasons.
I think its safe to say McElwain is going to do the same. Cupboard is mighty full next year.

IF he doesn't work out in 3 years, fire FOLEY, & give Coach another 2-3 years.

UFMatt is pimp.

I won't necessarily go that far, but I'll bet he has them in the SECCG within two.

They'll take the easy in 2015

McElwain was an assistant to John L. Smith at Michigan State. Better hope he doesn't return the favor...

By back, I'm assuming you mean compete for an east title. If so, immediately because the east fricking sucks. If you mean compete for a title, 3rd year
