It is simple. The Black Bear's only goal each year in every sport is to beat LSU nothing more nothing less. How sad that has to be as a fan base

Honest answer - When you have a chance to play for the national championship, you don't seek out regular season games to fill that void. More times than not, SEC and National Championship goals are enough to power LSU past Ole Miss. The problem comes late in years when it's big prize is no longer in play, LSU can't match the level of energy and focus that Ole Miss brings to its Super Bowl.

So y'all haven't won a Super Bowl since the baseball Super Bowl of 2009. That's a long time and must suck, we've been stacking up on Super Bowl victories since then.

If you are anything like I was around 2000, you would say you'd take a national title today and settle for 7-5/8-4 for the rest of your life. Not only did we get one in 2003, but we stole one in 2007. The baseball titles are great. The Final 4s are gravy. As far as I'm concerned, I'm playing with house money the rest of my life. I hope we win them all, but I'm more than content.
