A&M has been begging LSU to be their rival since they joined the SEC. A&M is still trying to stick it to Texas. So they need LSU while LSU does not need A&M.

To be fair pretty much everybody makes fun of A&M. Their claim to fame is literally their overall money, and in reality their football program doesn't even generate much at all compared to the true football schools.
