It's not going to be nearly as bad as everyone is expecting. The NCAA is a paper tiger. They're basically out of the enforcement business. They may tack on one more year of a bowl ban, and may dock a few more schollies, but nothing serious.
a two year bowl ban and taking on losses of scholarships is pretty serious IMO. Look at how long it has taken USC to recover, and they're a much bigger program than Ole Miss with a greater ability to recover. This will set their program back 8-10 years, and they'll also need a good HC to get them back ever. shite, Tennessee hasn't even been hammered by the NCAA like Ole Miss will, and they can't even get back to what they were with infinitely more resources because they can't seem to find a coach with a clue on how to run a program

In addition to the actual penalties levied, they won't be able to employ the same recruiting tactics that brought them from ~30th in the country in recruiting to top 10.
It will be a while before they can run with the big dogs (I know, I know but they pretend 9-3 is)

Don't let this distract you from the fact the Falcons blew a 28-3 lead in the superbowl

Another year of bowl ban and maybe 5 more schollies is nothing compared to what they've handed out for similar activities in the past.
I'm not even 100% sure that the NCAA goes that far, especially if Ole Miss throws Freeze under the bus.

For a program like Ole Miss, a two year bowl ban and let's say 5 scholarships a year for 3 years would kill their program. They also won't be able to recruit like they did the past few years and employ the same tactics. Ole Miss is not a traditional power that can just recruit on their name.

Ole Miss not being able to blatantly cheat is going to be a result of this whole mess no matter what. The level of sanctions won't change that.

The NCAA is going to mandate that they bring back Joe Lee as HC

It will be significant. They will be lucky to win 2 conference games in a 5-7 year span starting around 2018.
