A good coach considering where he is and I would've taken him back over CJM.

He's better than average, but I agree he is third tier of SEC coaches. There are just a bunch of good coaches in our conferences.

Only coaches I would want other than him:
Saban
Pinkel
Richt
Miles
Spurrier
Malzahn

Although his results haven't shown it so far, I would rather have Bert as well. He just seems like he has total control and a solid sense of direction for the football program.

I considered Freeze, but he has pretty much the same track record as Mullen - pretty average aside from one good year last year.

Before last year, he had beaten 2 top 20 teams in 6 yrs, or something like that

Before last year he'd never beaten a top 20 team, and after last year he's still never beaten a top 20 team.

He is an average coach who had one good season. I would put him in the middle third of all SEC coaches.

I give Mullen credit for outlasting a lot of SEC coaches in his time - Nutt/Muschamp/Chizik/Petrino/Dooley/Joker

Out of that list, I would take malzahn or saban. Wouldnt take spurrier this late over Mullen. frick taking Richt. Pinkel would be fine with me. Miles would suck in Starkville.

Except Freeze has actually beaten top 20 teams and has had steady progression each year he has been at Ole Miss. Also Freeze won at every level coming up to the SEC.

I mean he was pretty close to getting fired in 2013...... But I think he's an average head coach.

Out of that list, only SABAN, Pinkel, and Spurrier would be successful in Starkville. That is a fact Jack.
