Against LSU he's down 24 and A&M scores a TD in the 4th. Instead of going for 2 to make it a
16 point game he lines up for the extra point to make it a 17 point game and keep it at 3 possessions. The play ends up being reversed and John throws an interception.

This week wastes a timeout on 4th down with 2 minutes left then punts the ball. Basically giving up on the game.

To top it all off he goes 8-4 with the best college QB of all time.

Next year will be ugly.

Nah. Now that Manziel is about to leave, the story will change. A&M will easily replace him

Tim Tebow, Vince Young, Case Keenum, the list goes on. Manziel doesn't even crack top 10.

People will try to deflect with the usual message board crap but he's been terrible the last two weeks.

Down 24. 8 + 8 + 8 = 24 points.

I think Sumlin will do well in the long run but his defenses need to improve... giving up over 31 points per game and 467 yards per game is just too much for a team trying to join the elite.

How is that dumb? He is 4th and 13 on his own 24 and if they don't make it the game is over right there. And they've been getting stuffed. Still he calls a timeout to see if he and his coaches can make it work, and ultimately decides they have a better chance to stop.

He knows his defense is terrible. There was a better chance of Johnny finding Evans on 4th and 13 or running than you had of stopping Mizzou from picking up a 1st down.

It's pretty hard to make 3 2-point conversions in a row, so he obviously was going for 7+7+7+3(a field goal) = 24

if he missed two two point conversions, 6+6+8 (20) a field goal wouldn't have tied it up.

ETA 6+7+7 would end in the same scenario

He has a case for being one of the most entertaining. But he's not even in consideration for one of the best.

That's a judgment call and they had actually been having decent luck stopping us
