He won't retire, he will accidentally get stepped on and lose the ability to affectively coach.

He has all of the pieces in place for success without him having to do the daily grind.

He doesn't even really have to recruit anymore. They come to him and he picks the ones who he thinks will work out best for his "company"

you can't really believe this. saban does not have the personality to just sit back and let his company run. i fully believe he is still just as hands on with the day to day grind as he always has been.

I've never seen a fanbase so worried about some other coach who used to coach at their school once upon a time.

If Spurrier had come back to college football to be the coach at Tennessee or Georgia and proceeded to dominate the conference for a decade, you may have a different opinion on the matter, just saying

Hopefully in a wheelchair when he's 102 years old.

People do realize that Saban is no longer a real Head Coach

I agree with this. I think he's built an infrastructure at alabama that allows him to over see the big picture, and shake a few parents hands at recruiting visits as the "rock star". He has an incredible staff, that do most of the grinding. Dudes not going anywhere for a while. I think he chases Bryants 6 titles and goes fishing as tgoat. It's the perfect way for him to massage the massive ego.

Out of the blue from Bama after a disappointing season but he will return somewhere he won't win and retire again after 2 or 3 years. He'll try to blame the media for changing the sport and the fans for not pulling for a losing team.

I'm pretty sure he will watch AJ McCarron in the Wild Card Round this weekend and spontaneously combust out of anger and frustration.

Well, Miles is the only one left so I guess we should go ahead and get the caterer and party planner lined up.

I think there's a bit of truth to it in that the frustrations are less now that the machine's purring. That's probably one of the reasons he seems more relaxed these days but in general, you're right. The hands on stuff is what drives him and also what makes him the best in the business.

After an NCAA investigation burns Alabama for numerous recruiting violations with heavy sanctions. Violations include paying heavily for players to stay their senior year. The state of Alabama implodes.

He coaches another 5 years. After winning 4 more titles and beating L5U 10 straight, he calls a presser to announce that he actually passed away during the 2017 season but was having too much fun trolling the rest of the SEC.
