For me.. its the thought that both QB's have seen real game time and have had an opportunity to step back to access and respond (under the coaches direction) to an entire season of those realities...

Time will tell how that works out.

A few things. They can't get much worse. The coaches realized we need to change up the offense to fit their strengths. Harris has a ton of talent, and shined in a couple of games .

Congratulations. They won games against some awful defenses, save 2008, and terrible/mediocre teams.

So you pan LSU for always having terrible QB play, which many times is justified. But someone points out that two of the most scrutinized QBs in our history went 3/4 against auburn, you justify that by saying that it was just your poor defense.

Without getting too much into how your logic is flawed, your program lost three of four games to LSU teams with Jarrett Lee, Jordan Jefferson AND Andrew Hatch at the helm. Let that sink in.

Well we had you guys beat last year with JENNINGS at QB.
If not for 3 HORRIBLE calls or non-calls:
- phanton PF against Alexander
- Defensive PI not called on last pass from Jennings in Bama end zone.
- Miles not throwing challenge flag IMMEDIATEDLY after Cooper's trapped catch near end of regulation - you notice Saban had the Bama offense SCREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEAM up to the line to snap the ball before Miles could throw the challenge flag.
Even the announcers were perplexed.

Just curious bc harris seems to be the favorite by the fans but jennings is impressing miles.

I'm fairly certain it will be a debacle like last year.

I dont think it will happen this year but he already has done this. But you already knew that.

LSU needs to just pull the plug on the QB spot and just run the wildcat. I have more faith in Fournette, Williams, Guice and Brossette winning a game than I do AJ or BH.

In all honesty, I'm nervous about the qb's again this season, but it really can't get much worse than it was last year, so there's some optimism I suppose.

LB's should be really good this year. Debo should replace Kwon and he has good experience. Beckwith played his first full year at LB last year, I expect improvement. Even if it is just a little improvement, he should still be very good. he completely changed our D when he took over in the middle.

As for the QB's, it's kind of a cliché but Miles has done more with Les than anyone at the QB position. No one, I repeat, no one, could have won 41 games with the JJ/JL tandem. And I don't think many could have done better than 9 wins with AJ last season. I'm not very confident with a great improvement this year but I do have confidence that Miles can still have us competing for championships with what we have.

Gus Bus sure had a hard on for Harris, recruited him right up till signing day. Course wtf does Gus know about QBs

AJ will be starter and offense will be about the same, maybe improve a little.

LB's should be good, KB in the middle with Jones and Louis on the outside and Feist, Garrett, Riley, Patterson etc spelling them. The Dline should be much improved this year, this should really help the LB's.

Yeah, what the frick does he know? He's only coached a Heisman winner and won the SEC with a cornerback playing quarterback.

ETA: Sean White > Brandon Harris

ETA: And not only did he win the SEC with him, he turned him into a bona fide playmaker and the entire offense ran through him

LSU doesn't need amazing play at QB. They need efficiency and someone who won't screw up. If that is Jennings, so be it.

Dewey if I didn't know better I'd call that a level 3 Troll. Seems like Cam coached Mettenberger up quite a bit. Some pupils just adapt slower than others. Jury's still out on the current crop. As for the LB's, LSU has a future NFL middle LB who will absolutely blow up this year, barring injury. He'll be flanked by two Sr. vets with tons of experience and some youngsters with serious upside. Losing Kwon was huge but this group will be better as a unit by mid-season IMO.
