Im excited about it because you guys have 2 outstanding WRs and I expect yall to throw a bunch of deep jump balls like TAMU did and go after our smaller CBs. We will see if that's enough. I do expect our defense will be able to cheat more since I feel Wallace is less of an explosive play threat as a running QB compared to Manziel.

I agree he's no Manziel but he has a knack for finding big gaps to run through. He can turn an 8 yard gain into 20+ often.
And it really pisses off the opposition because he looks slow as frick and still manages to move the chains.

I just don't remember last year's game being all that close. Sure OM took a brief lead until Jones returned the ensuing KO back for a TD. But after that point, Bama pretty much controlled the game and it never really was in question.
I'll have to re-watch it this weekend. I was really drunk that night.
I was right. Just watched up until the 3rd quarter on Youtube and Bama was up 30-14. So not sure where all this optimism that OM played us tough last year is coming from. Sure they got some licks in and didn't back down, but none of that translated onto the scoreboard.

I think it will be a close game. Ole Miss is looking good this year and will upset someone this season. I do not think Bama will blow out OM.

OM held Bama to 6 points in the second half.
If Bo doesn't throw two dumbass INTs then it's probably a one score game all the way to the end.
We have stronger kickoff coverage, and Bo is making better decisions this year. Our defense probably isn't as strong as they were, but our offense is more efficient so they should be able to put up more points.
I won't call a win. But it will be close. I just hope we're healthy and stay that way.

This. He isn't as explosive as Manziel, but he's a magician with the zone read. He won't scramble like Manziel (no one does), but he'll gain some yards on the ground just on his ability to sell the hand off.

Thats not so good for your team then....

Did you completely miss the next part of that sentence?
ETA: Our defense wasn't the reason y'all put up 30 last year. Our offense gave y'all short fields.

Yeah, but your offense was hardly moving the ball before those INT's. And Mackey threw the dumbest one of them all.
Y'all may be better this year, but basing any confidence off last year's game is a bit silly. The game wasn't that close after the first quarter.

Far from it buddy. I believe I have more pure hatred for your alma mater(if you even went there) than any other university. Alabama has killed us on the field for years. No question there. However, those few glorious years when we were ok or even pretty good, and we were so close to beating bama, somehow bama squeaks away with a win on a ridiculous call.
For example:
1.John Avery with an "illegal celebration"
2.Shaun Alexander is tackled behind the line but gets a 2 yard first down,
3.Shay Hodge being pushed out of bounds, or
4.last year(not really that close) when the ref clearly gave yall a first down by looking at the marker and then placing the ball down.
I'm sure there are many more, but my point is, Bama gets calls. And it fricks OM every time. If you dispute this, you are just wrong.

Were the refs bad last year or something. I dont remember anything significant happening....
Obviously not the reason we lost but shite like this last year is what keeps the conspiracies alive in well regarding bama and refs
And yes that 07 game was still bullshite, overturned a call on inconclusive evidence. Every bama ole miss game that goes down to the wire usually has a controversial event towards the end that never benefits ole miss. No conspiracy from me, just an observation.
That being said bama wins this game by 2 to 3 sores

I expect something like last year but probably a little more anxiety on my part. I expect OM to play Bama really tough.
I think Bama playing aTm last week probably hurt OM's chances. OM defense might be a little better than the Aggies, but, your offense is one step down, IMO, but we shall see.

I'm excited about this game. One of the things that makes me nervous is whether or not we will have Belue back. Your wide receivers will create some mismatches, particularly if Belue is not back on the field. A lot of our corners are inexperienced behind him. One of them with experience (Fulton) has not proven that he can perform the way we need him. The other with experience (Geno Smith) is in Saban's doghouse.
I'm happy we have CSU this week instead of OM because I could see us having a hangover effect from the ATM game. I think the defense will come out with a chip on its shoulder (much the same way our oline did) because of their lackluster performance against TAMU.
That being said, i see maybe a ten point victory for us.

That gif makes me mad as frick

While the gif is somewhat funny, the ref marked a terrible first spot. I remember it being much closer to the first down marker than the ref had initially.

LOL that whole situation was so stupid. It doesnt show the field judge telling him where to spot the ball. If you can prove me wrong, please do.
And what about 2009 when OMs DBs should have been charged with assault on Julio for how much they were draped all over him the whole game with zero PI calls.

Was the field judge yelling at him from behind? Is that why he kept looking backwards?
