How did Texas, OU, and the rest of the Big 12 teams miss on Josh Jacobs?

From what I have read, he wasn't even much recruited by major programs.
It's early yet, but he looks like he's going to be a very good rb for Alabama. Not sure why he was so much under the radar.

Jacobs looked all kinds of good yesterday. Runs a lot like Mark Ingram

You probably haven't really looked at the running backs in the Big 12. They have a lot of great running back's and more highly regarded running backs too.
OU, BU, TCU and Texas have a bunch of great backs. Even Oklahoma State has Barry Sanders Jr.

Reminds me of Mark Ingram too... Ingram didn't have a have an offer from instate Michigan when Saban brought him to Tuscaloosa.

Now that you mention it, I think a couple of the recruiting services had Ingram a 3 star prospect.
