Then why didn't they run three straight plays up the middle? And not lose yardage?

UT would've won that game had Howard not fumbled - shite they would've won if not for Murray getting like 16 tries to throw it in the end zone from inside the 10 yard line.

UGA got a little help from the refs to send it into OT

Dear Lord. If it wasn't for the ridiculously awful DOG penalty on yalls punt you don't score one of your touchdowns and it doesnt' come down to the end anyway.

And after seeing what Murray did in crunch time against LSU and at the end of regulation, I would by no means say UT scoring a TD in OT would win it for yall.

Not necessarily, but the fact that we went out and stood them up 3 straight plays and forced the FG is promising.

yea but its obvious Richt was playing for the field goal. Game plans changed when UT didnt score

I really thought he scored. Until I watched the replay 100 times. I would have hated to be the guy making that replay call

It was very close

It was a horrible dog penalty. That action is shear stupidity that accomplishes nothing, but it was a penalty

No question about it. No one with half a brain could make the argument that UT wins if they score the TD. It just would have been nice to have played it out rather than a freshman being to eager to make a play.

What I don't understand is..linebackers do that in ever.single.game. every weekend across America. If he was barking out a snap count, fine..that's one thing and absolutely deserves a penalty. But just running up to the line and stopping..I have never seen that penalized in all my years of football. And that dumbass ref said he was "stomping his foot", which is BS. He was running forward and stopped, then backed up to his original position.

After the penalty, it made the distance much more managable, yall decided to go for it and converted, and scored a TD on the drive. Any UT fan who says refs helped UGA is simply not worthy of taking seriously.

Right. That was the first of three 4th down conversions.

Never said the ref's helped. I thought they did a pretty good job.

GA's O-line wasn't getting a good push like they did against LSU. Again, they seems a bit off or confused.

Playing at home in the SEC is a huge advantage to OL's. When we played at Georgia their OL played flawless because they could always hear and communicate with each other. I will give Tenn fans credit they had that place rocking and it affected the Georgia OL. Tenn defense is also leaps and bounds better than LSU's so there is that.

Would I have loved to win? Of course. Regardless of the final score UT did everything they had to to put them selves in that position. Worley stepped up and kept the defense honest with some big plays, Neal continues to step up and played strong and ran for 150+ and we forced a ton of 3 and outs. It wasn't a win but it's a step in the right direction.. It's something to build on. I think we give every team outside of Alabama a game.

Rocky Top was loud and frequent. Good to see the Vols on the way back. The East needs a strong UT.

The whole conference needs a strong UT.

I will give Butch credit, the wheel route on 4th down late in the 4th was a brilliant call. Took some balls for that play. If the receiver is covered, the game was over.

The misdirection toss on 4th where Neal ran for 50 was a brilliant call as well. If their LB reads it then it's a loss of 5

How was their defense able to play that well?

This is the play I am talking about.

Nice call. I could not believe he did not run it.

What? It was called in the USA/UT game a week earlier and I also saw it called in a big 10 game this year too. And you have no idea if he was imitating the snap count either regardless of what the ref said on the mic. Either way it's called more than you think.

lol, you're so witty bro

Outside of the under thrown ball pic Worley lit you guys up for a 150 in 2 quarters.

Nathan peterman was the one who nuked the game with 4 turn overs and 11 yards the first half.

That's because he is atrocious. He did show signs in the second half against UGA of being slightly less atrocious than before.
