I've never cared about UT Austin.
TBH Texas A&M has never really had a rival. We do our own thing. LSU is in a similar situation.

I mean, you'll see a frick ton of stuff on Texags about Baylor and tech. And you'll see a bunch of a&m stuff on raiderpower and Baylorfans

Ya, I mean there is no denying it. Have a few family members that attended A&M. They still don't like each other, in fact when they do play again it will just be that much more intense because of the break.

Why do Aggies feel like it's losing at life to have rivals? UT is all they talk about, all Texas tries to do is shoot down A&m. Yall are rivals. imo in the SEC every conference game is a rival. The denial is very strong.

I really don't understand why A&M fans, on here at least, try to deny Texas being their rival. It's like they take it as an insult when someone says it.

It's one thing for LSU to say they have no real rival, it's not an unreasonable claim.
A&M fans like to claim they don't to make themselves look special.

I mean I have lived in Houston area my whole life. Have been to many A&M games growing up. Mother and her 5 brothers/sisters graduated from A&M. Have friends that went there. I think I know a little.

It wasn't subtle at all. The entire thread was created for a rivalry controversy. He doesn't actually care about the comparisons.

agreed. LSU has never had one team that they consistently hate and the hate be reciprocated throughout the history of the program. The closest thing LSU has to that is Ole Miss. Texas and Texas A&M has a century of equal hate on both sides. To me, it almost reinforces how big of rivals they are based on their insistence they aren't rivals and their refusal to play each other out of some sort of defiance. But you can bet your arse if and when they start playing again, there will be PLENTY of pinned up aggression from both sides

I guess but I don't even get the troll. There is nothing wrong with A&M having Texas as a rival. Texas hates them just as much.
