Combination of having connections with certain recruits, and having a great recruiting staff.

I was gonna say something like that.

Combination of having connections.

We hired a head coach that actually knows how to recruit and doesn't have to come up with a phony persona when it comes to selling kids to Oxford.

And getting an AD that actually cares about athletics instead of banker helps too. From my understanding Freeze and staff received a little bit better recruiting budget compared to coaches in the past.

I think its hilarious the shite that flys around about this class. Its like Ole Miss is the only school with connections to players. No other schools have connections or family/friends on thier respective team. Damn, get over it. Ours is only getting the publicity and "facts" coming out because Ole Miss landed a top 5 class.

Hardly any credit is given to the coaching staff which is fine. I hope people keep doubting them and then question WTF happened later on down the road....

There is no reason to believe we wont be in the top 20 next year in recruiting.

2009- #17
2010-#15
2011-#20
2012-#58- Freeze was hired mid December and only 18 if I remember correctly. He was however able to get 5* Channing Ward, UA all american Trae Elston and Issac Gross

We've had alot of top 20 classes. We just had so much attrition from Nutt taking character issue guys or academic issues.

Also I would like to ask why doesnt James Franklin get any negative talk????

Very good players are buying into going to Vandy a school that hasnt had any success since the 20's. #19 class but no one is saying they cheated...

I think Coach Freeze used Leigh Anne Tuohy as the recruitment bait

Just kidding, seriously think the Ole Miss coaching staff lucked out on some situations, but busted arse to make others happen. Hard to say anything negative, they were balls to the wall in their recruitment

I get hyped up for Vanderbilt. The only thing they can really sell is education. To me the guys that go there are character guys who want a great education and a chance to play football while doing it. Im a big fan of Franklin.

Did the stars align and what impact will it have on the SEC West standings next season?

better recruiting budget

OM endowment = $470 million
SPUAT endowment = 630 million

Not that far apart, considering the Alabama system claims that the system of UA has a "pooled" endowment, which is intertwined with the public employees retirement fund.

This "pooled" endowment is not very transparent. Typical.
