He had one competent drive at the end of regulation. The large gain was a basic throw on a busted coverage that went for a ton of yards.

Yeah. His stats to finish the regular season were awful. I thought Bama would win 38-14ish. Alabama offense was just awful outside of 3Q and they got bullied up front a bit.

Maybe. Seemed like a bad coaching job too though. Everyone has seen Milroe all year and Bama's staff had a month to figure out other ways to get the ball to playmakers. The best they could do was that jet sweep to whoever that wide receiver was.

He's not a very smart football player. His growth in-season was due to the sideline taking over more of his job pre-snap and their failure in this game was overreacting to the sign-stealing concerns and putting more of it back on him thinking a month of prep would be enough to get him ready for one game.
He may be an alright student but he's not football smart. I don't think he's really invested in being a great quarterback and thinks his arm cannon and legs are enough.

Steele failed two of the last three games just like they say Pete does/did. Miracle play bailed him out. No miracle in Pasadena.
