getting 6 top 90 recruits to campus would still be impressive
This. One had TJ and won’t play next year. MLB rankings have these guys ranked way down the charts compared to PG. Still an impressive class

Pretty bad bet on my part. Did not know that. Streak has to end eventually hopefully maybe

That's just last year, though. Stovall turned down round 2 money to sign with us out of high school a few years ago. It's obviously not common, but there is precedent.

Stovall turned down 2nd round money but he didn’t get drafted. Teams have to forfeit the slot value money against their bonus pool if they don’t sign a draft pick in rounds 1-10. So they don’t draft guys unless they are supremely confident in signing them. Stovall’s situation was different since he didn’t get drafted.

Stovall took himself out of the draft.

Yes that’s my point. Guys that are picked rounds 1-10 are gone with the way the MLB draft is.

Why is this surprising?
Our athletic facilities as a whole have been top notch for a long time.

Yep, you are correct about that for sure.
On Stovall...Stovall didn't get drafted because his number was too high once he didn't get drafted in the first round

Stovall didn't get drafted. Once he didn't get drafted in the first round, his number that he wanted was too high, so he took himself out of the draft.
Sooooo...he didn't turn down anything.

Stovall didn't get drafted.

Sooooo...he didn't turn down anything.

Didn’t realize this was an option. It’s a perfect strategy instead of writing a letter to all teams saying I prefer college please don’t draft me, he waits, don’t get where he told them he needed then removes name.
Played it like a boss, MLB teams will respect that.

The Waltons don't care about any sports except the Denver Broncos

Looks like 7 will get to campus, pretty good haul even if one is out for the year

Very nice. I’m pumped we got 2 top 100s coming and likely one just a few spots outside the top 100.
