We know what it's like to be in a conference where one team runs it.

You think you know. But it's really just that your football team hasn't been the BESTEST EVAR!!!11!! for a few years and you confuse that with SEC favoritism.

So dust off your vagina and start petitioning your AD to leave the conference. That's what we did.

The Big 12 is looking for teams.

Because, you're short sighted, your team is irrelevant, and have done nothing to benefit the conference as of late.

It's a lot like someone on welfare crying that no one does anything for them

FWIW, I also consider the flipside that I've seen when the SEC gets fricked based on a negative perception of the conference on the basketball end. You don't want that.

Whatever is bad for Bama, Aub, LSU, UF, SCe & UT is good for UGA IMO.... I've never gotten the whole "SEC Pride" thing...

Those teams don't like us and wouldn't root for Georgia if we were to finally get to the CFPCG...

Plus, more so in recruiting...every time an LSU, a Bama, an Auburn of a Florida, UT or SCe beats UGA or wins the SEC/MNC it absolutely hurts us directly in recruiting...

Money, regional pride, if one school is doing better especially a rival, it makes the other school(s)try harder.

Just off the top of my head.

Will you think that if UGA gets fricked on a playoff spot next season because the perception is now that the SEC isn't a top conference because of what we've seen the past couple days? Especially with the way Richt likes to drop games he shouldn't in conference?

sure a lot of ranters don't/wouldn't, but a lot of the non-rant fans of those teams would because they know if you win it makes them look better. Just like Bama getting blown up makes the rest of the conference look bad, it just does.

Because to be the best you want to play the best?

Just ask TCU about getting left out of the playoff. Do you think looking back on the season they'd rather have their b12 opponents win just a couple more games or lose every game?

If no sec teams are ranked, no one cares. If no one cares, the best recruits will go elsewhere. It's not rocket science.

Exactly right, at some point next year LSU is going to get raped by Arkansas.

Is it easier for LSU to justify that 60 point loss if Arkansas is ranked 2 in the nation or 80th

There are so many reasons as to why we want each other to do better, or at least be perceived as being better.

That will still depend on the strength of the conference for 2015. It looks like the Big 12 will still not have a conference title game and could get weaker, so the SEC will have a chance for at least one team in.

So you root for other SEC schools because of TV ratings on the SECN.

it's difficult to grasp because every school in the SEC already has more money in their AD department than they know what to do with, and not a single poster here sees a dime from the SECN. It's a bullshite reason to pull for another SEC school to win. You think because Bama lost to OSU less people will watch the SECN?

the last couple of days are not going to hurt the SEC's reputation as the top conference. If anything, Harbaugh and Urban building their respective programs will hurt the SEC's reputation as the top conference.

thank you very much for this.
There's a reason you were able to post 3 times in a row without one response.
There is no logical response to that.
