They have highly talented players all over the field and on the bench, and they are supposed to have the best DC in the nation. I figured it would take time to start playing together, but geez, this defense is absolutely pathetic....and might I mention, an embarrassment to the SEC West.

Muschamp hasn't fielded a decent defense since his last tenure at AU.

I was actually wanting Mussdamp as our DC. Now Steele looks like a great hire compared to that.

not me...but MANY of the talking heads and "experts". I'm not sure about the pay, but I'd have to assume he is one of, if not the highest paid DC in the league.

You're an idiot. He had a top 5 defense at Texas in 2009 and 2010 and in his four years at Florida he had three top 10 defenses and one top 15 defense

Because they have an OC for head coach that knows absolutely nothing about defense or how to coach it.

Muschamp isn't a good coach. He's a product of Saban, Tuberville, Dan Quinn, etc and their defenses.

Their whole team is soft.

It must be that Gus doesn't let them live tackle in practice.

We really don't. Star rankings do not matter.

Our DL is garbage because of roster mismanagement. We have no DEs that can passrush because they decided that Lawson would be the entire PR.

We have our Mike LB playing DE now. What does that tell you about our "talent?"

It's pretty obvious if you watch the games. D-line play is horrible. It pretty much starts and ends with that. I wonder of some of you people know the first thing about football.

So, when he had top 10 defenses as a DC, it was because of his HCs, and when he had top 10 defenses as an HC, it was all due to his DC?

What about when he had top 10 defenses as DC/HCIW at Texas? Who gets credit for those?

Upperclassmen on the front 7 will have to leave before the D improves. With that said, the young guys in the secondary are scrapy and show promise, so that gives me hope Muschamp will improve the D when he has guys with a blank slate.

If it wasn't for your avi, you'd be a waste of space.

Texas had elite talent that didn't need a good coach. Anyone could've coached those teams
