Congrats. The Aggies and... well, the Aggies agree with your point of view. The rest of the SEC however, do not.

To be honest (aside from just giving you a hard time) it does need to be looked at. You would have to redo the divisions...but then what? Put Bama, UT, Auburn and UGA in the same division? What about UGA/Fla? Even if you go completely random, you can't predict which teams will be top 10 teams down the road (see Arky and Auburn falling from grace in just a year or two).

I dislike Auburn - but really, really, really hate the Orange T.

Anyone older than 30 probably feels the same way.

The point is valid. The point he was responding to wasnt.

In the case of LSU and Tulane, it was one sided for a very long time. Tulane was a pitiful team for long enough that it was common opinion that they were just a terrible team.

Tennessee however has just had a down period. Much like Alabama had a down period during the time that vol017 was referring to. The difference is that Alabama is now the best team in the country and has been 2 of the lasts 3 years and going for 3 out of 4 this year. Tulane still sucks and will continue.

This rivalry is streaky. One team does well while the other has down years. They they swap. They are both still all time great teams, they just have down periods.

I hate our fans sometimes. That's in the "old people" side of the stadium. The student section is oversold but the blue hairs will all sell to Bama fans

I haven't given up on the Vols. I hope they win every game for the rest of eternity.

I have given up on being upset when they lose, but that change happend somewhere in Dooley's second year.

I know a lot of these threads end up in flame wars, but what LSU fans are saying makes complete logical sense from a fairness perspective and as a "conference" perspective.

Obviously all of us would love to keep all the traditions possible (and most LSU fans actually like playing Florida every year, because in cases like 2007 that win directly led to us getting into the N.C. game.) but the problem is the SEC offices decided to frick with all tradition by adding two new teams.

I'm just bummed that as it is now I would probably only be able to see LSU play in Columbia, MO four times in my lifetime. That's not a conference IMO

anyone older than 18 should remember the Fulmer years. I fricking hate UT, and if I have children one day, they will hate UT. Their kids will hate UT and on down the line the hatred will go

We are going to 9 conf games soon and your concerns will be over. Give it a year or 2.

No LSU fan is denying that Alabama and Tennessee have a great rivalry, but the SEC offices are messing with everything and it seems like something has to give. We either need to add 2 more teams, go to a 9 game SEC schedule, or the rivalry needs to end. The system as it is should not be used long term.

The argument that "all the other teams voted for it" still doesn't make LSU fans' complaints less valid.

Why don't you ask Steve Spurrier how he feels about it?

If I could, I would ask him how he feels about a number of subjects on a daily basis. That shite would be just too entertaining to pass up.

And that's something I can agree with. I thought it was fine with 12. Adding 2 more screws with the rotation and I want to see LSU, Auburn, Ole Miss etc...more than once every 8 years. You almost have to go to 9 conf games, but when teams like UT has Oregon, OU, Ohio St, etc scheduled in the future...that makes thing very difficult.

Even if it stayed the same in scheduling as it is this yr, it's better than it used to be. Look back before 92. Talk about tradition... there were teams that didn't meet for decades at a time. Since 92 that was rectified with the rotations. What is traditional and long lasting, is the Bama/Tenn rivalry.. the Au/Georgia rivalry...

Quit crying and using excuses that aren't valid.

Do you have a time machine that has allowed you to see the future? How else do you have this
inside info that LSU will be playing
multiple football games in Columbia, Michigan?

Serious though, after being to Columbia, MO this weekend. Once will probably be enough. Don't fret.

Exactly. Which is why, from an LSU fan perspective, it makes sense to just give up those two rivalry games for the good of the conference as a whole and to see the other SEC East teams more often...and then UA and UT can schedule it as an OOC game if they really want to continue it.

Obviously UA and UT don't agree because to you that game is obviously more important than seeing teams from the other division more often, and I completely get that too.

There is no right or wrong decision, but it's just frustrating to me as an LSU fan the way it all went down.

If I could talk to Steve Spurrier there are a million things I'd talk about before permanent cross division games came up
