I could see Saban letting it happen so Les can keep his job longer. He plans one loss a year for league stability anyways (or the Lolz) so why not LSU this time?

Silly.

Even though you don't like his style of play, his philosophy all but guarantees he will upset an elite team from time to time. With excellent talent, great defense with a run first offense, even with a major liability at QB, will beat most teams, and keep it close against an elite team and win it if he gets some breaks.

I understand your sentiment here, but LSU, with the resources it pours into its football program and the access to elite level talent it has, should not be in a position to just, "upset an elite team from time to time."

You wouldn't accept that from Alabama, why should a comparably resourced LSU?

If Miles beats Bama, you could go 5-7 and they'd still keep him. Something to think about.

I have a feeling Miles is going right for Saban's nuts come November.

Despite all evidence to the contrary. I get it though. You realize we were all right about LSU this year and beating Bama is the absolute only thing you can hope for

I agree with you, but that's a different statement. I was responding to the statement that LSU under Miles would never again beat Saban. Even in the 5 game winning streak, most of them have been close.

You're correct. And what is most frustrating is knowing that with at least a competent QB and offense, some of those games could have been won by LSU. But Miles can't field a competent offense or QB, so in a game between Bama and LSU that is decided by a margin 3 points or greater, I'm going to say Bama wins every time until Miles is gone.

Would you melt knowing that would ensure Les remains head coach indefinitely? :)

Not going to beat Bama without a QB. Harris doesn't scare anyone.

How many licks does it take to get to the center of a tootsie pop?

The world may never know.

we would consider it a good investment as it will allow les to keep his job for another 10 years.

No question Les and his boys have circled that game on their schedule TWICE. Payback will be delivered...

Can you be more specific when you say "payback?" Are you referring to payback for PP7's non-INT? Julio taking that screen pass to the house? 21-0? SEC offices in Birmingham? Derailing Fournette's Heisman campaign? Another of the five straight losses? Saban? Schedules? Cross division rivals? Louisiana DA's?

Thanks in advance- it's just difficult to be current on LSU's hate list.

Currently the outlook on our season is very grim. Why any LSU fan would try and talk shite right now is beyond me. I don't like bama and the rest of the SEC just like any other LSU fan, but right now, we just need to spectate and quietly hope for some sort of miracle to finish this season with 6 or 7 wins.

If close is less than half, I agree with you. Only 2012 and 2014 were close.

Hey it's our only lose of the year, you get to keep Les for another 6 years and continue to go 0-5 against us. Hey I am all for it.
