I think Sims will take the reigns.

I hope not. He has one year of eligibility. Are we really going to start him for one year and move on? Fact is he has never looked comfortable as a passer. Could he have some Wildcat packages? Sure, maybe throw a few times out of them, but as an every down QB we're telling the rest of the country that we concede the 2014 season to someone else. He won't be able to stretch the field, and we're gonna need that.

Maybe.

Most backups look nervous back there.

Disagree.

Not bad, it's not like AJ is out there making incredible throws. If he can throw flag routes off of play action, and complete screen passes then y'all will be ok

Slight step back. Nothing too dramatic. Depends who else goes to the draft really.

John Parker Wilson and Greg McElroy had undefeated seasons

Am I missing something here? We talking about Southlake Carroll and Hoover?

Kick one game manager to the curb, plug in a new one.
Problem solved .

As previously mentioned, John Parker Wilson navigated a 12-0 team. Greg McElroy won a national title in his first year--a 3/4 recruit.

I'm sure whoever takes the reigns will look very similar to AJ in his first 6 games in 2011, and hopefully, grow into his own.

My bigger concern is actually who replaces CJ Mosley.

Alabama has been lucky to have great QB'S on defense since 2009 with McClain, Hightower, Johnson and Mosley. We're really going to need someone to step up and be able to make the calls on defense next year.

Well according to nearly every other alabama fan, he is just a 'game manager' which I guess means that it won't really matter that much, but it will drop them a little lower

The statement made it sound like they both went undefeated... the only thing I could think of that they BOTH possibly went undefeated at was leading a high school team. And yes, I am familiar with the only time a Saban lead Tide didn't back their way in to a BCS Title.

Last two times we have broken in a new quarterback, we went to the national championship and we just have to focus on top 4 with the playoff coming next year. We'll be fine. I'd rather them go without someone young, that can have a couple of years to start.
