I never really could put a finger on why Harsin couldn’t get it done there but the more I read about their insanely toxic and crazy boosters the more I see he was destined to fail. Seems like they never gave the guy a chance? Backstabbing, backroom deals, going after his family, it sounds like god damn game of thrones.

How could they be worse than any other major programs?

How many other programs have boosters that try to ruin a man's family after 1 year...?

Ole Miss is seriously worried about Lane to AU. I hope it's not keeping you up too much at night. Try to relax. It's going to be ok buddy.

I dont think Kiffin reads this board. Your attempt to make the Auburn job look bad is transparent and desperate

Except no one except internet trolls like most on here went after his family.

AU admin received a complaint and there were many red flags that could not be ignored.

As opposed to what? A literal lynch mob with torches and pitchforks?

Are there other schools with worse examples of harassment than Auburn?

He failed because no one wanted to play for him. He couldn’t recruit. Lost half of first recruiting class. He fired his WR coach 4 weeks into the season. He fired Bobo. Hired Austin Davis, who quit in 2 months. Mason took a the same job title for less money to get out. He then could only hire “Boise Boys” for OC and DC.

The boosters never supported him with NIL, etc but I don't think they were involved in the drama... I think it was numerous official complaints raised by former players (and possibly coaches) that caused the investigation - it's not just the accusations people like to talk about here. It's more serious stuff, nothing illegal but still very concerning...

If Kiffin read this board and saw how these OM fans act, he’d probably leave very fast. Same ones he’s told to get to games but they don’t go or go to the grove.

I’m not sold it was boosters. I think it probably came from a disgruntled employee (maybe Mason). The Auburn Athletic Department handled it bad. The truth (I believe) was that someone complained that Harsin was toxic towards players and/or staff. Then the AD had to investigate. But they didn’t announce what they were doing or why. It leaked that they were investigating and rumors on social media and message boards ran wild.

To think boosters of other programs haven't done the same is being naive. I don't know the whole story but was this about the babe he was rumored to be having an affair with? Was that false?

Harsin lost the last 10 out of 13 games with Gus’s players. He lost 5 in a row last year.

That’s not on the boosters. Thats flawed and failed coaching.

If it was true, Harsin would have been fired for cause with no buyout.

ETA: I don’t think the investigation even was about that. I think it was all just rumor. The Athletic Department should have been on top of it to stop rumors and be up front. The real investigation was on the treatment of players and coaches.
