Preseason rankings are stupid. Rankings should be done by coaches and all coaches who have a pick that is, say, 10 spots over/under the average, their vote is void.
With that said, 09 we didn't deserve that ranking. Nutt had lost control and Snead was a head case. This season, there isn't a single argument you can make for us not to be ranked where we are.

Since State has beaten Ole Miss 4 out of the last 5 times they have played, I'm guessing State is "coping" just fine.
