Sounds to me like LSU fans are still trying to weasel out of playing UF annually.

When are some people going to learn that for there to be a SECCG you have to have divisions?

Yes, I'm sure I read that somewhere.

Oh, so I guess only 2 teams are the only ones that can look past a shitty rivalry. Sooooo much hate between the two, amiright?

You must really not like the OP's idea, seeing how UGA considers everyone they play a "big rivalry"

What is average?

Cause yalls rivals include Tennessee, Vandy, Kentucky, South Carolina, Florida, Georgia Tech, and Auburn, with Mizzou on the bubble.

Even though it makes no geographical sense, I wouldn't mind seeing Bama in the east let Missouri in the West and only see Auburn every couple of years. I like the TN game and people don't act quite as retarded about that rivalry as they do about Bama and Auburn. I know a lot of Bama fans will hate that but if I could pick. That's what I would do; however, I would still make LSU keep Florida because I wouldn't know how to act if they didn't have something to complain about.

A&M is playing LSU, Arkansas, Alabama and Auburn every year. You can realign the divisions however you want around that.

I think this topic has come up before and had lots of discussion. ;)

The basic format makes since. You always have 3 permanent opponents(rival games if you will) and rotate every 2 years 5 teams groups as OP noted.

What is nice about this set up is a player has a chance to play at every SEC venue in a 4 year time frame.

However, as has been noted, handling of the champ game would be hard.

It will get interesting to see what happens once the 4 team playoff starts. The SEC champ could basically be a quarterfinal game that actually hurts the SEC from getting 2 teams in the playoff.

No one needs to be concerned with getting two teams in a 4 team playoff. It's too greedy. In an 8 team, for sure. But let's just focus on quality football for now.

As long as the 75% rule is in place the stubborn 4 can block any propossal. If they went to even 66% we could get schedules that make sense.

I prefer a 9 game schedule. Or maybe keep things as they are, except allow the rivalry games to continue while the other teams rotate those games.

Glad to see one team is not afraid of playing a little competition.

To be the best, you have to play the best.
