HDN feels vindicated
quote:
“It’s the most frustrating thing there is,” Nutt told Bruce Feldman of FOX Sports, “to be on the sidelines and hear your name keep getting mentioned and mentioned. It’s hurtful. It makes you mad. I don’t have a major violation in 30 years of coaching.”
Why in the world would Freezus retain Chris Vaughn from HDN's staff is beyond me. HDN did work through his disciple to let tBeaver know that there was and will only be one Reverend to coach at the University of Mississippi.
50 years, its been 50 years

I just looked up some old Nutt stuff.
He went 5-6 in 2004 and then went 4-7 in 2005. In the middle of his tenure!! Would even Kentucky keep a coach who did that? No dumpster fire here. The middle of his tenure! That's amazing. Would not happen today.
The best part is he went 10-4 the next season. Interesting stuff.
Oh, went 4-8 and 2-10 his last two seasons at Sis.

Houston Nutt is one of my favorite SEC people. Colorful character.
I think he was a damn good coach when he was motivated.
Of course he mailed it in towards the end in Oxford, but who can blame him.

We were on probation for the violations before he got here that effected recruiting, he overcame it after the two bad seasons....

Nope. You've got it wrong dude. He had already been here 6 seasons when he posted those records.

It's the infamous "2 year pass" given by Broyles

Harred trucking overpaid players and the penalties hit before the two down seasons.
Hate Houston Nutt all you want... just remember the truth... if you are old enough to or are not too eaten up with hagville...

I would take it over Jeff Long's 5 year pass for Bert and Mike

Frustration is defined as watching LA Tech buttfrick you in the midst of a 2-10 season.
Houston can get fricked.

I don't hate Nutt. I was a Senior in high school when they were running the wild hog for the 05 season. Didn't get around to awhole lot of football after that. Between drugs and the Navy the Nutt Ole Miss saga is not well known to me....
I was here for fricking Petrino, though.
You sound like you know what you're talking about regarding penalties coming in. I'll take your word for it.
