They're on the verge of becoming a TWO, not a one... ...I said a TWO chin strap league.

I just dont understand how any AD could even consider hiring that clown.

“Houston wanted to know about the landscape of football in Connecticut and what kind of players we had, the skill-level, and the hot-beds for talent,” said the coach who spoke on the condition of anonymity. “I guess he’s doing his research. I was taken by surprise a little bit. I’m not sure how he got my cell number.”

So what stung worse?
Having that clown as your HC for a DECADE
or
Losing to him for the first 2 years after he left
LOL

The reason he was moderately successful at Arkansas was because he actually wanted to be there. Look what happened to ole miss the moment jevan, mccluster, mike Wallace, shay hodge, Greg hardy, and all of our other really good players left for the pros. He won't have this at uconn. I don't think there's an ounce of passion left in his body. Don't believe me? Go back and watch film from nutt's last season at ole miss. 2-10 with an arse raping from la tech

A lot of Huskie fans refer to Skip Holtz as the father of modern Huskie football ... since he carried them into DI FBS and won big up there until he resigned to come work with Lou at SCAR thinking he would get the head coaching job here when Lou retired.
But he fricked it all up with his ego and his wife.
Connecticut should simply hire Skip back and be done with it. Skip would do well there.

UCONN's special teams better be ready to be special!
They're players need to be ready to have a lot of heart and to play for the helmet.
If this happens then at least the UCONN media and fans will know who called the play, and a lot of other good plays, brother.

he was terrible at USF and has looked lost at La Tech.
He'd be a downgrade at this point.

Good question. And I'll take a stab at it...
Having the clown for a decade is like being in chronic long term pain with some nice moments of euphoric relief. Having Matt Jones, Felix Jones, Peyton Hillis, DMAC, and even Fred Talley (he's still running BTW), was like having a strong narcotic. But you always knew at some point it was going to wear off, leaving you in a world of shite.
He goes to Ole Miss. I'm thinking WTF, I like Ole Miss. But I had a pretty good idea that he'd have some success. I wanted to think he wouldn't make some of the same idiotic mistakes he made at Arkansas but he proved me wrong and did it in record time.
The two losses hurt a little but not too bad. We knew we had a good coach and it would get better. And it did.
...until Jessica came along.

Nutt had two losing seasons in the 10 years as HC at Arkansas.
From 1990 until Nutt was hired Arkansas had 2 winning seasons in 8 years.
Since he was fired Arkansas is about to have their 3rd losing season in 6 years.

Does the name "Teresa" ring a bell?
He really was running a virtual, behind the scenes, three ring circus.
If Connecticut does hire him, I can guarantee one thing. It will be a ride they'll forever remember.
