New Albany Hampton inn is nice enough. You can also get cold beer there now. About a 30 min drive on hwy 30. Goes almost directly to sorority row...

Do not drive away from that stadium smelling like alcohol. Cops there seem to target the opposition.

Stay at the main interstate and drive in on game day. I did Tupelo but that's the other side of the state from you.

From what I'm hearing your friends from Austin are willing to shell out at least twice that for when they come. Sounds like you got a good deal

I live 15 miles from Tupelo. Not a horrible place but if I were choosing a place for hotel and good food between Tupelo and Memphis it would be Memphis by several miles.

Tupelo is basically chain store food. Couple of decent local places but not worth the effort if you are coming in from Texas.

the Inn at Oxford. I stayed there last year. It's right by the square.

Most places were 1200 plus but this girl doesn't know her market I guess. I'm not complaining.

Contact the Oxford Chamber of Commerce. Many, many people are renting out their houses. They have an entire website of homes and condos available.

I'd check out Olive Branch, Senatobia, Hernando, Southaven, Tunica, Batesville before staying somewhere in Memphis. Tupelo really shouldn't be an option for you if you're coming from Texas, that'd be an incredibly inconvenient drive. I would suggest Clarksdale possibly but you'd have to boil the sheets at wherever you stayed.

See why I wanted to do a background check before you "relax at the rv"?

What about the Ole Miss Motel? Place looks shitty, but it's close to the square.
