The Inn at Carnell Hall and the Chancellor would be great options if available. Otherwise look into Bentonville\Rogers area. Another option might be to look for Cabins or Condo's available in the Beaver Lake or Eureka Springs area. Its quite a haul from campus but you might find something very nice. Otherwise get your name on waiting lists of hotels closer to campus and you might get lucky. Safe travels to the Hill. We're making a family Thanksgiving out of the week in Fayetteville.

We Pandas are vegetarians, so we won't be eating steak OR BBQ pork. Good thing money is no object, though we are pretty cheap dates.

Again, thanks for all the good advice. Just ordinary citizens taking it in the backside by the current administration, loving LSU and SEC football, and happy to have children who still like us well enough to take a long road trip for fun. Been to LR a few times and other venues as well, and just enjoy God's rich blessings that allow us to live in the South and share the best college athletics conference in the country!

Y'all have a great weekend!

Ruth's Chris has more than Steak, and I imagine awesome salads and veggie options (a few I have had). Anyway, just an idea for a place open on that Thursday.

Isn't there a vegan restaurant on the other side of campus in the "old part" of town?

With as many Field Hippies as there are around that part of town I'm sure the Pandas can find a vegetable or two.

I'm thinking there are some vegan/tofu restaurants near by, or I think that is what they were when I was on the side of town last.

Drawing a complete blank on the street name for some reason.

It's about an hour drive, but don't rule out Ft Smith.

You would shave off some time by staying in Alma.

MMA cage fights held at the Sonic there.

OK! Thanks - these are all great options if we don't find something closer.

Love all the SEC campuses - headed to Starkville in 2 weeks to do some work at MS State, then quick turnaround to greet the Bulldogs when they arrive at Tiger Stadium. MSU campus is remarkably handsome - much improved over the old days if you've never been there. Nice little town, just FWIW.

Careful, I got blasted by some Hog fans on the OT for even mentioning the possibility of looking in Fort Smith!

Panda, if it's just you and the Mrs., you might look into a B&B in Eureka Springs. About 45 minutes from Fayetteville, and the ladies usually love it. Good brownie points opportunity!

I'm from little rock so when I do come back home to go to home games in F'ville I just stay in conway and make the 2 hour drive. straight shot, never have an issue at all getting a hotel room

plus after we usually get plastered it's a good amount of time to cool down before i re enter society.

There's a strictly vegan place called Something Better over by Ozark Natural Foods.

The food at ONF, as well as Greenhouse Grille are all vegan-friendly options. BHK Cafe on the square also has a very vegan-friendly menu. Common Grounds on Dickson, too.

Pretty sure it wasn't serious, but still. Its good to have options.

So you noticed the Chancellor and the Inn on campus. I'm guessing you googled hotels in Fayetteville and that's what you found. Then you came over here and started a 'look at me I'm going to a road game' thread and even managed to mention that money is no object for you. Congrats, we're all VERY impressed.

Well, I see that someone is off his meds today. You do know that they have some really good anti-psychotics available these days, right?

Embassy Suites in Rogers. It’s probably where the football team will stay. If the Embassy is not to your liking there are several other hotels all within 2-3 miles of the Embassy. There are several restaurants within walking distance including Ruth's Chris, Bonefish Grill, Carrabba’s and others.

Across 540 (within sight of the Embassy) is the Promenade Mall and you will find P.F Changs, Houlihan's, Mimi’s, Texas Land and Cattle at the mall. Just north of the mall are fast food restaurants like Taco Bell, Genghis Grill, Firehouse Subs, 5 Guys Burgers, Qdoba, and others.

Have a safe trip and uneventful trip.
