being so negative about your team? You won on the road. It might not have been as flashy as you would like but the game was never in doubt. What gives?

because the D looked like last year and could not tackle. offense was ok except for the constant running up the middle as usual. have to wait until next game to see if its gonna be a trend. who knows, UW might be decent this year.

Most LSU fans on here expect to win by 50 every game and if they dont then the starters need to be benched and the coaches fired.

You can tell you are new to this website. You should have been here last year, they wanted to fire Less.

At least y'all don't have to pay the salaries of 2 DCs this season!

if we had beaten east illinois state 52-0 the same ones complaining would be pounding their chests on how great the defense looked

it was a dissappointing game given all the hype of our "improved" D, but im not going to give up all hope after one game..i think we needed to get the jitters out, though nontheless i wasn't impressed..

maybe vs vandy we'll actually win in impressive style? JJ looked shaky but at least he wasn't a JLee..Toliver looked great, glad to see he's improved

LSU has always been defensive about Miles. Now that he's not winning NCs and going to BCS bowls we begin to turn and embrace the underlying thought that maybe he was just a bumbling lucky idiot the whole time.

Wait, y'all do not really believe this. I have called him Larry Coker just to eff with some LSU fans but come on. You won, the game was never in doubt.

there has been all kinds of threads about les and/or his defense ,and i think people need to just relax and be patient .

with a new dc and young talent needing to learn the scheme they will gel as time goes.
if we are 4 and 0 going into georgia we will be okay.the D will be fine ,give time.

Its not about this game.

Its about the fact that problems from the end of 07 are still cropping up.

DLine not playing up to their talent
No contain
Playing soft D
Playing vanilla O

Nothing has changed. People at a certain point expect to see a coach improving his team's weaknesses.

ETA Miles has never figured out the concept of a hot RB

What would make this season a success to you win wise?

Just curious.

I would be ok with 9-3 assuming those were legitimate losses. I would also hope to see some improvement on the areas I listed above.

If you want the real answer, it is because LSU fans are still not sure whether Les Miles really has what it takes and is going to continue to be the right man for the job.

That is my take anyway, and I am not sure whether I think Miles is a really good coach or not. I do not think he is a bad coach and I really like him, but I am still on the fence as to whether he will keep LSU football as a top team nationally and in the SEC.

10 wins including any post season play. Top-15 finish.
