In which of the following years were you most concerned about losing to LSU?

2012 in Baton Rouge. LSU was 7-1 and led by Mett, J. Hill, Beckham and Landry.

2013 in Tuscaloosa. LSU was 7-2 and led by Mett, J. Hill, Beckham and Landry.

2014 in Baton Rouge. LSU was 7-2 and led by Jennings, Magee/Hilliard/Fournette, Doral and Dupree.

2015 in Tuscaloosa. LSU is 7-0 and will be led by Harris, Fournette, Dural and Dupree.

Not interested in making a game prediction here but I do think 2015 is the best LSU team among those. Not sure how this year’s Bama team stacks up against the Bama teams from 2012-2014.

Or does LSU's talent level and season to that point not even affect your level of concern? For example, I'm never more or less concerned about the Ole Miss game because I know no matter how good or bad they are they're going to play LSU like the '85 bears.

Truthfully? 2012.

Simply because we knew we had won in the 2012 NCG, and that LSU was looking for revenge by any means necessary after that. Coupled with the "LSU doesn't lose in Death Valley" mantra and Alabama losing Trent and some of the greatest defense Alabama has ever had, I'd say that's the one I was most worried about.

To rank by most concerned:

2012
2015
2013
2014

I was honestly surprised after at how hard fought that 2014 game was after the beatdown of 2013, and Alabama retaining a lot of its players, being on fire with Sims and Cooper, and LSU not having any real identity. But before the game, I was pretty damn confident.

Was never "concerned" about the outcome of a football game, but I thought that we'd lose last year.

I expected our team to win in 2012, and 2013.

One of the years with Mett at QB i forget which one. I would also throw Copeland into the mix. He was a scary player to account for going into the game.

2012 but I've just come to accept that this game is just going to be close. The fact that Bama has reeled off 4 in a row against what is considered the golden age of LSU football is amazing and fortunate as well.

Yes, he was instrumental in both the 2012 and 2013 wins.

That was probably the year I was most confident in an LSU win. I was at that game and me and this old dude from Bama talked so much shite to each other. Dude gave me the smuggest old geezer smirk at the end of the game. Could do nothing but shake my head and laugh.

2015 easily because UA's offense is an absolute shite show and Lane Kiffin is a joke. And LSU is pretty good......

He had that goal line fumble in 2013 but he was still a very tough matchup as a blocking back. He also has this very nice catch in 2012...

I just didn't think that Mett was capable of doing anything against our defense that year, and I thought that our offense was just too explosive.

I thought it was smooth sailing after we went into the half up 14-3. But then we went pass happy in the second half for some reason, and couldn't move the ball at all. Then Mett caught fire, and that was the first game he did anything of note.

I accepted that we were going to lose when Landry caught that amazing pass on the sideline deep in our territory. I was in the LSU section, and I popped my emergency valium, right after the catch to prepare me for the walk out of the stadium and back to the girl I was staying with's apartment.

I was in total, and utter disbelieve after we drove down the field and scored to win. The only thing I say was "ho-lee shite."

Haha I know, I was really kind of joking.

But you did leave out the dumb personal foul that took them out of the redzone in the first half of that 2012 game...

It was a fricking animal house in the stadium that night.

It was. Great night for sure. It stayed with me even after we lost. Mixed in the with the gut wrenching feeling of losing like that I was still thinking, "damn, that was badass."
