Nt for me. You bring up non playoff years
There is now a new scenario where LSU only loses to Alabama and then a loss the UF takes them to a two loss team and out of contention for the 4th spot
And please, please tell me that if a team lost in the regular season there's no way they win the rematch.

I remember when us UT fans were bitching about having to play Bama every year in the 90s while Florida got to play LSU.
Oh wait no I don't.
Oh wait no I don't.

LSU, A&M and Alabama were all 1-1 against the other two. The record against the eastern teams was the sole determination of who went to the SECCG. Guess who got to go? The team who didn't have to play an eastern team with a pulse.
I fully understand and comprehend that. Like I say, your argument is valid if we assume Bama would have lost to UF too, and that LSU would have had the highest BCS ranking of the three.

You aren't a title contender so this entire issue is moot to you. Dwi.

Yeah, why should anyone give a shite about equality in the scheduling? Bama turds are amazing

The vast majority of the time (as in like 9 out of 10 times) the team that wins the West wins it because they won more West games than any other West teams. IMO
Didn't USC win every east game one year and didn't go to Atlanta BC they lost two west games?
That's fricked up. Also lends to Spurrier and Miles wanting a change to the system where division games are first consideration.

In 12 years we play FLA home and home six times. In 12 years we play GA (and everybody else in the east) home and home 1 time! It's like we are barely even in the same conference!

Thank you. I don't want to lose the games, I just want fair shot at a playoff berth.

The problem with most LSU is that they forget that Tennessee used to be a dominant program.

at least he's not saying "once in 22 years" anymore.
i've uncovered 2 more times LSU was done in by this rule, and that's without even looking at other teams.

I enjoy watching us play Florida every year. I would also like to enjoy traveling to and/or watching Georgia and Tennessee more than once every 12 years. 9 conference games would solve a lot of issues.

Yep it's all a out Florida. So freaking dumb. Besides does it matter who you play? Irrelevant for how long?
There should be some equality in scheduling. There's no argument against it. In fact if you are the. I hope you don't bitch about the PAC 12 or big 10 because that's what some of the SEC cross div games shape up as. Let's face it having Vandy and KY or UT the last few years = OOC cupcake. Ok maybe not Vandy

that really doesn't matter.
even if the situation were completely reversed, the fact remains that the schedules would still be unbalanced. LSU would just be benefitting from it instead of hurt by it.
I'm not looking for an unfair advantage for LSU, I'm looking for competitive balance, which simply can't be achieved under this scheduling scheme.

Also, it's hilarious that now the Bama line is: beat Bama and you don't have to worry about who you play.
What happened the last time we beat Bama? Oh, yeah...it didn't matter. And does anybody think Bama only loses one game playing LSUs 2011 schedule?

I know, God forbid we have balance. These asshats will keep chirping about UF instead of discussing the facts.

yeah to win the NC we have to beat Bama twice, they only have to beat LSU once. Verrrrrrrrrrrrry fair

The MOST fair way to schedule a 2-division SEC would be to rotate cross division opponents regularly, i.e. no perms. This is what the other major conferences do generally.
If not that, then several options are more fair than what the SEC does.
1. Let AU-UGA and bama-Tenn play every year and the rest of us rotate. (This is my first choice.)
2. Reconfigure the divisions as follows:
East: Carolina, UGA, UF, AU, alabama, UTenn, and UK
West: LSU, A&M, Mizzou, Arkansas, State, Ole MIss, and Vandy.
This would assure those four schools get their rivals every year.
And let's be honest here: schools like State, Ole Miss, UK, and Vandy support the current setup because it is easier for them than a true rotation.

Or just let East/West opponents schedule non-conference games against each other when they aren't in the rotation.
Happens in SEC Baseball and Softball already.
