Who is to say how much money was involved? Is it just coincidence that the church was "saved" by money from heaven about the time that Mr. Cam Newton was making a, er, commitment?
That seems to be a desperate explanation. That said, I think the NCAA needs to go away. Schools need to make whatever decisions they feel are in the best interest of the school. Let the chips fall where they may...
