First time Arkansas has ever swept at Starkville.

Hogs pounded out 20 hits, scored 13 runs, had one grand slam.

Only 4 hits for Misstake today

Now in sole possession of 1st place in the SEC West.

This time last year we were #1 in the country and 1st in the West before we shite ourselves, only to rebound and be one of the final 4 in Omaha.

I'm going to be cautiously optimistic......

Early April, caught a struggling team at the right time, BFD...looong ways to go before anything starts to really matter. You missed the important point - Fant's pitching performance.

Fant was ballin' today, thats for sure.

I hope he can keep that up. He did not look too good the other night in early innings when I saw him. The time before, after being roughed up early by Bama, he settled down nicely and handled biz.

Would be great to have 2 very good lefties that take the mound for us each weekend.

Right now, Bolsinger to the pen looks like a great move for DVH.

Fant today: 2 hits, 1 run, 4 Ks, retired the last 14 batters he faced.

Thats pretty awesome.

Is Raffo starting to look like a possible option down the road? Anyone who can make A-State respectable in baseball should get some notice.

In all reality we should have hired him to begin with.

This makes us the #1 in the nation in RPI right? Arizona State losing today should move us up.

You really should pay more attention. The reason we are what we are is because Polk and Raffo got lazy with the recruiting the last couple of years. Our entire pitching staff is basically made up of Freshmen. We'll be back (not CWS back but back) in a couple of years. Book it! I was all 3 games. We played toe to toe through 7 innings in all three. We are pretty bad but good things are coming.

Arkansas has 17 hits through 7 innings. Miss St had 4 hits. and the score was 6-1 i don't think that is toe to toe.

Mississippi State... 000 020 102 - 5 14 4

Im giving Cohen until the end of next year. I cant stomach 3 straight losing seasons. As for paying attention, I have been paying attention all season long.

State is
LAST in team batting average
11th in the SEC in team ERA
11th in fielding

If you cant hit, pitch or catch your not going to win many games, and it doesn matter if they players are freshmen or seniors. The bottom line is that our guys eventually have to PRODUCE. If they dont I think that Cohen's seat will be VERY HOT next year.
