Like others have said, if Pittman hadn't hired the staff he has I'd be concerned.
I don't really care much about what everyone else thinks.

I have a hard time believing Hog fans would be saying those things about Leach and Kiffin had they hired them.
Every fan base is going to spin their hire positively no matter who it is for the most part. The honest truth is that most Arkansas fans would be upset had Pittman not made some very good hires on the staff.

In the thread-Arkansas fans trying to save face that they hired a nobody. Still probably an upgrade from Morris.

Leach would have been terrible at Arkansas. I don’t think he can recruit or put together an SEC caliber staff. No one wanted him except for media.
A lot of the fan base wanted Kiffin, I did because I thought he could assemble the best staff but that’s been proven wrong. We are fully on board with Pittman, he hired the best staff possible and will kill it in recruiting.

We could have had leach and we passed. We had lane until sexton wanted to start a bidding war and Lane wasn't worth it.

Exactly. Every coach Arkansas was looking at, when they didn't hire them they either didn't want them or they weren't worth what the other team was gonna pay them. Not a chance that coach didn't want to coach at Arkansas. I agree Pittman has made some really good hires though.

Nope. I'm fully on board with Pittman after his assistant hires. I would have loved to have Kiffin here however.
Leach is overrated as hell and a horrible recruiter. I foresee SEC defenses shutting down his air raid, unless he gets semi elite recruits, which again I don't see happening.

Oh, is this what happened? I think the story where another job opened up that was in the same division, for good pay, and a more loaded roster so he took that one instead is more likely. However, if your narrative is right then you have bigger concerns because it says that Arkansas didn't want to commit to winning.
I hope Pittman works for you but I don't think he was the guy that you fired Morris to get.

I'm happy with Pittman after the staff he put together which is better than what Lane put together
Pittman has put together a very good staff but Kiffin has also put together a very good staff.

I hope all three teams are happy with their hires. We all know that the only thing that actually matters is what happens on the field and within the programs.
If Pittboss can get the staff to gel and work together, results could be good for the hogs. From an overall staff perspective they'll recruit well and can coach em up...something Arkansas hasn't had in a LONG time.
Kiffin fits Ole Miss like a glove in my opinion. Likely a time bomb waiting to explode...some good explosions and some really bad ones.
Leach is Leach. He'll win more than he loses and he'll win some he shouldn't...and it'll always be a riot.
Personally...I'd like to see the days of celebrity head coaches who outshine the entire program go away.

Not a single one of these delusional cult zombies will ever admit such a thing.
Didn’t you hear? Kiffin sucks and they dodged a bullet deciding to go a different direction

Well it's because they ended up at Ole Miss and Mississippi State.
It's not like we're saying they wanted to coach here over Alabama or LSU.

At this point, I don't care what or how it happened. I'm glad you're happy with your hire but so are we

STLDawg,
Wrong, Mississippi State hired a nobody!
Leach will probably fail.

Except we have examples in this thread that say the opposite

I don't think that either Lane or Leach will pan out. I think they will both fail before Pittman.

Leach won’t work in the SEC so I don’t give a shite about that. Still kinda salty about Kiffin.
