Of course we will, cause like ya know, Mizzou isn't worthy
I agree with him fwiw. Y'all are still a threat to win the East, along with USC, UGA, and Florida but y'all are losing ALOT.
3 leading receivers, #1 running back, 2 OL, and 2 beast DEs. Mauk really isn't as impressive as y'all are making him out to be either. Plus, DGB was his favorite target and he's gone.
Plus I think the schedule is a little tougher than last year with y'all having to go to A&M, the Swamp, and USC. Georgia and Florida will be better than last year barring serious injuries again.

Mainly the problem is that people are overlooking the returning talent. Matty Mauk is better than James Franklin period. The offense moved much more effectively with him in control of the offense. Mizzou returns three starting Offensive lineman from last season, and two players with experience along the offensive line. Mizzou also returns two capable running backs who both rushed for over 600 yards, averaged 6.0 yards a carry, and accounted for 13TD's last season. On the defensive line we return all 4 DT who rotate (Hoch, Vincent, Brantly, Agusta) who last season accounted for 110 tackles and 6.5 sacks, and all should improve with added experience. Mizzou returns two defensive ends (Ray, Golden) who accounted for 91 tackles, 11 sacks, and an interception for a touchdown. Mizzou had so much talent last season at defensive end they were able to red-shirt most of their defensive ends from 2013 class to be physically ready (nearly everyone added 20 pounds to their frames) for this season and we have Hatley, Harris, (will no about him before the season is over) Osbourne, Loud, Crawford, and Logan all ready to contribute. Plus we recruited two additional defensive ends in 2014 class. Mizzou is not lacking on experience or talent for the upcoming season.

This really worries me from Cock fans. Y'all know about making backups more impressive than they are. So we could be in trouble.

The secondary looks pretty bad. Their tackling isn't very effective.

The secondary is a huge question mark, that group is very young, mostly freshmen and sophomores. They need to grow up in a big hurry.

If any of them are Dbacks I'll take them.

Lucky for y'all the best qb in the east is on your team this year. Just hope that no running backs get to the outside.

IMO the player we will miss the most is EJ Gaines - everybody else has really good talent coming in to replace them. Secondary is questionable.

No doubt Mizzou's secondary is extremely young compared to previous ones at Mizzou. However, the group is an extremely talented group of players. Mizzou does return one starter in the secondary from last season in Senior Braylon Webb who accounted for 89 tackles and three INT'S. I know this sounds scary, but Webb will be counted on to lead that group of players this season. As far as the returning players with experience in the secondary it's not as bleak as many make it sound:
Safeties
Braylon Webb (SENIOR): *
89 tackles 3INT 7 Passes Defended
Ian Simon(Jr.likely the starter opposite Webb):*
42 tackles 1 INT 2 Passes defended
Tavon Ross SS (True Freshman):*
will get playing time as a freshman, too talented compared to the rest of our backup safeties and held offers from Alabama, and Georgia
Duron Singleton (SENIOR, backup safety)
23 tackles 1 Pass Defended
Daniel Easterly (SENIOR):
6 tackles
Shaun Rupert (Red-shirt FR)
no experience
Gregory Taylor (True Freshman)
most likely red-shirting
Thomas Wilson (True Freshman)
most likely red-shirting
Cornerbacks
John Gibson (SOP.) *
15 tackles 1 INT 3 Passes Defended
Aarion Penton (SOP.) *
15 tackles 1 INT 1 Pass Defended
Kenya Dennis (JR. JUCO Transfer):
offers from Auburn, Arkansas, and Southern Miss
3* recruit should see playing time in nickel defense
Logan Cheadle (True Freshman)
Early enrollee who is looking to earn playing time as a freshman, looked decent in spring football
Raymond Wingo (True Freshman)
could challenge early for playing time, but could also end up red-shirting and held offers from Auburn, Arkansas, Oklahoma, Michigan State, Nebraska, Tennessee...)
Ernest Payton (Jr.)*
4 tackles
Returning from torn ACL, but has incredible size for the position at 6'2 210 and was in line to see significant playing time before injury
Anthony Sherrils (Red-Shirt Freshman):
injured in car accident, still trying to comeback from injury
Xavier Smith (SEIOR)
4 tackles
Limited experience on special teams
David Johnson (JR.):
4 tackles
Limited experience on special teams
Finis Stribling IV (True Freshman)
most likely red-shirting
* Chance to start, or see the majority of snaps on defense

My goodness. You are truly obsessed. Like really. Why would you be that in tune with the Mizzou spring game? I couldn't tell you one thing about SCAR's spring game because I Don't give a shite.
However, you are right about the run. If it was a real game it would have been about a 10 yard gain. You are just being a dipshit about attendance though. The number is accurate

Our secondary is far from a question mark. Our corners are young but this is the most athletic group we have ever had.
Posted on 4/20/14 at 6:18 pm to JesusQuintana
Our safeties shouldn't be a concern at all, too much experience on the back end for that to really cause any concern plus the addition of Tavon Ross to supplement that group. Aarion Penton got valuable game experience when Gaines went down with the hamstring injury last season, and Gibson also received significant playing time as Ponder's backup. Earnest Payton, Chedale, and Wingo could all compete for playing time as backups and special team players, but the starters provided no injuries or attrition will be Penton, and one of Gibson/Chedale/Payton with the edge going to Gibson due to experience.

East comes down to y'all and USCe again this year. Mauk will be better than James Franklin.

I think UF's schedule is favorable. I expect them to be in the mix. But unless Muschamp turns the offense over to someone else, I don't see them winning it.

I believe Sherrils has moved to safety

I can't believe the arrogance of my own Mizzou conrads on here If we play bad this year with all the players we lost and a qb that scares the heck out of me when he has to throw short passes and get's the Blaine Gabbert disease when he's standing in the pocket. Let's kick some tail on the field this year and then brag. Miss St. and Kansas had one of those years we had last year a few years ago and then went back to being the real them.

Mizzou gets to play Arkansas every year. That does legitimately give them a leg up in the East.
