When all of our raises are officially announced -- you will have your link.

But I guess you think we're going to continue paying our DC that had one of the best defenses in the SEC in his first year and brings back 10 bowl starters $300k...

LSU also gives back over 7 million to the school and academic programs.

We used to do that til we started having to pay every Tom, Dick and Harry who ever coached here.

the reaction to these threads is sometimes funny. some responses make you think the bottom schools should be paying more to their assistant coaches and coordinators just so they can say they pay more.

but there's very little logic in that IMO. Even a major school like a UGA, Florida, or Tennessee should not overpay unproven commodities or put salary bumps ahead of results.

LSU should be paying more if they have Chavis and CC. If they end up replacing those guys with lesser replacements they should expect to pay less.

We'd still be last with all of the expected departures.

Exactly. UF's salaries are comparatively low, but UF has also seen a ton of coaching turnover and unless you are bringing in a well known commodity you aren't starting them out at league high salaries. FWIW, when Weis was brought in he was the highest paid OC.

I pretty much agree with that ... and I agree with USC finally, today, releasing the info that our staff just got bumped to #3.3 million and has moved to #5 - but it will not remain that way for long.

Coaches' salaries are out of control.

I did not see that coming. I figured Florida would have been in the top 5.

If you look next year to see how our staff is paid, you will see a bump for 2014 salaries.
