I remember moving there not knowing a thing about it and going to walmart to get basic household goods and we got all kinds of dirty looks. I loved that place though for the time I was there. I actually enlisted two black kids from the area too if that speaks how racist or how white it is. Wrong... There are a few still there, as I am there often for worship, travel, and friends. But it is nothing like you are saying currently. Dude... why the hate? Things change, people change at times.. .especially when many die off!

I’m 99% sure you’re trolling but it’s funny because I do know people irl who feel this way about Harrison, especially black people. These are people that have never been there obviously and people that know zero about history. Harrison has a racist past, but it is not the head quarters of the KKK and Harrison has come along way in terms of social progress just like the rest of the country. You think there aren’t lefty wackos in every corner in america and you think they wouldn’t love the viral sensation of them being “oppressed” by good ole boys from Harrison? People go there all the time to do just that and antagonize people. And yes there are still some racist people in the area but it’s not the majority. Also the little statement about don’t go to any place with mountain in the name is ridiculous. There are some places in Arkansas with mountain in the name that are 50/50 racial demographic or majority black.

Mountain Home: 0.38% Black
Mountain View: 0.42% Black
Mount Ida 0.40% Black
Mount Pleasant 0.00 % Black
Mountain Pine 17.00% Black
Mountainburg 0.00% Black
There are however approx 75 cities, towns, villages and burgs in Arkansas that are 50% or more made up of Black residents...
