Hey Tennessee. Is this O'Brien suspension going to affect the outcome Saturday?

No.

They were going to lose anyway.

Hurts DT depth, but if they were going to dominate us up front they were going to do it with or without Danny O.

Doesn't make big plays, but is a solid tackle.

I thought his back up, Shy Tuttle, was much better against BGSU. Losing a DT that plays meaningful snaps is never a good thing, but I think we'll see a lot more Khalil McKenzie this week because of it.

The players we're getting back from suspension/injury are much more of a net positive.

K-Mac is out of shape and won't hold up. They might use him in a situational role but other than that he'd get worn out.

I like Obrien, not the most talented or big player, but he has a lot of experience and is a very solid contributor. Never good to lose a d-lineman. Luckily we've got a little more depth than we've been working with lately so the effects wont be felt as bad as they would have the past few years.

I think they've got a shot.

Home game and I think Oklahoma is still trying to figure out their running game.

Off course, that UT pass defense will be a problem..,

While it was atrocious there were a few things:

Todd Kelly was out
DB coach was suspended
Pass rush wasn't fantastic due to BGSU's OL [Most veterans behind UCLA]

I'd think with the return of Kelly, and Martinez [coach], they'll be a little better. Plus the OU OL is young. Pass rush should look better. I think it'll be a close matchup.

Can a defense even have a key cog, if it gives up 550+ yards vs Bowling Green?

Once Todd Kelly came in the 2nd half, BG only scored 10 points
