When he can run past a linebacker, autograph his helmet and collect $5.

Johnny is a triple threat...he can do all that and give change for a $20.

Option O makes the QB dual threat. Forces D to play more contain than attacking as they would want to normally do. Typically a D plays pass with rush or blitz front, or they strength is cover D. The dual threat makes playing man very difficult.

What makes the player a dual threat are quick feet, great hips for bring elusive and the ability to keep eyes downfield while evading defenders. A quick release is also requisite.

The more passes you complete- the better you are as a dual-threat

Why does the OP keep asking the damn question? I think people have explained it about 30 times. "Dual Threat" means the D has to plan for run or pass. If they are slow or can't pass than they are not a "Dual Threat". "Threat" doesn't mean they are bad arse at either. Its just football speak for a QB that poses a threat of running and passing. Now close the thread unless you have some underlining reason for asking. Peace.

Because it seems that some of our fans feel we have that.

I was thinking that it took more than completing 47% of your passes to make defenses respect your arm. Apparently, I am wrong and so are all of you. Just ask coonass
