Thanks for the suggestions guys. I don't make it over to the SEC Rant that often so yes I missed the other threads and I'm too lazy to search.
I'm working on w broadway which is right off campus, so I drove through today.

It's a pretty campus. If you get a chance, check out the student center/bookstore, it's brand new and really, really nice. Also visit MizzouRec, the student rec center. It's the top rec center in the country, full waterpark with waterfalls and a lazy river, climbing wall, several workout rooms - wish they had resources like that when I was in school!!

Honestly if you are looking for scenery check out the Shelter Gardens before you walk around the campus

True, Shelter Gardens is beautiful. My favorite scenery is hiking through Rock Bridge State Park south of town though.

I can't be the only one annoyed with MU posters who feel like the way to integrate with the rest of the SEC is to ramble on and on about the civil war
Southern pride had everything to do with the rise of college football in the South. The Confederacy and our flag had everything to do with it. I'm not just talking about Ole Miss - look at the team histories of Alabama, Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Vanderbilt, Virginia Tech and others.

the Civil War - get over it
Too soon?

I'm not trying to pick a fight, molsusports, I was just stating a simple fact. I'm sorry if the truth offends you.
That having been said I'm proud of my ancestors. If you aren't then I'm sure that they would also be embarrassed by you.

All a matter of perspective I suppose - most people outside of the south consider "southern pride" code words for white pride and a jim crow south
I'm guessing you will dispute that - and I think the SEC being strong in the modern college football era has one hell of a lot more to do with letting go of old segregationists policies and integrating football teams. People still waving around flags from a failed secession have done more to make the south look trapped in teh past and backwards when we should have been getting over that war at least 100 years ago

I would also add Heidelberg to the list of bars. If it's a nice day you can sit outside on the second floor and have a good view of some of the more attractive buildings on campus.
See now heres where an SEC school differs. At most SEC schools, you would sit outside on the second floor and look at the female talent. Except at Bama, where they would consider a nice seat on the second floor to be a deer stand.

Quite frankly I do not give a damn what anyone outside the South thinks of me. It comes with age. Hopefully some day you will enjoy it.
