small schools compete better in baseball against the big schools than in other sports. there are tons of quality recruits that big schools don't or can't sign each year. the schollie limits are very restrictive and some of the "undersized" pitchers large schools deem too small are actually damn good. imo, one of the great things about college baseball is that the "little" guy (both athlete and school) can compete favorably.

Totally agree ... LSU baseball fans are some of the best, most of them anyways. Nothing but total respect for LSU baseball and their fans - most of them.
There were several threads going-on with the same theme after our opening loss ... and LSU fans were the coolest about it by far.
